Terrible experience. I used the Curb app once before and as is protocol, was charged when I booked my ride. The taxi driver did not charge me at the end of my ride. This time, I was charged by the app when I booked AND the taxi driver INSISTED that I pay him at the end of the ride. He charged my almost DOUBLE what I was already charged by the app. I told him I already paid in the app and that I knew that was how Curb was supposed to work. He became more forceful with me that I had to pay him on the spot. Since I am a young woman traveling alone, I didn't want to put myself in a potentially dangerous situation so I just paid him. Then, I contacted Curb multiple times to discuss this issue with them and they never got back to me. I will not be using this app again.

Don’t use them. It’s a scam. Take a yellow cab. These guys switch on you. They make it look like the amount they charge includes the tip of 20% but in fact the tip is not included until after the ride. The yellow cab charges $70 plus a minimal surcharge plus a five dollar fee for travel between 4 PM and 8 PM. My fee ended up being $109. when I tried to get them to change it, I got no satisfaction.

Worst ever. My daughter who has a broken leg, arranged for a taxi to get to school. Taxi driver went the wrong way and though my daughter was showing him the route and address from the app, he refused to drop her off at the correct address without starting a new trip and fare. She had to hobble over 2 blocks and hurt herself along the way.

Salito su un Taxi Curb (indirizzato dal personale dell’aereoporto JFK) invece di pagare una tariffa tra gli 80-90$, ha preteso 327$ per il tratto dall’aereoporto al centro! Un furto, a maggior ragione che ha preteso pagamento in contanti perché non accettava CC internazionali! Il Support di Curb si è degnato di rispondere solo quando ho raccontato la cosa sui social! Nessuna risposta alle ripetute mail. VERGOGNA! Mai più Curb

DO NOT USE!!!! We used their app requested a cab. Nobody ever even came to pick us up, but I was charged not once but TWICE!!! Tried to call customer service who then referred me to an email address. Guessing I won't get my $$ back. Thanks, Curb! I appreciate your service.

My roommate and I both used curb within 2 days and experienced the same issues. We were out in the lower west side and returning to our hotel in Brooklyn. She ordered a car but then I flagged down one right in front of us. When she cancelled, Curb held the payment as pending for 3 days. I ordered a car this morning 12/11 and they assigned 2 drivers before they solidified a specific driver. The cars assigned weren’t yellow cars but what Curb calls black cars (personal drivers who probably also uber and lyft). That annoyed me as someone wanting to support NY drivers. This driver was only 10 blocks away, 7min ish. He started driving the opposite direction and would not pick up the phone when I called him. Finally cancelled but Curb held the payment and would not refund it.

HORRIBLE. The a-hole driver who accepted my request sat at the (wrong) end of my block for a minute or two, wouldn't answer his phone when I called (twice), and then just suddenly cancelled the ride. A full twenty-five minutes later, a replacement driver arrived. I'm now massively late for a hospital appointment, will likely have to re-book, and have $50 of wasted fares on top. There's no way to complain about the a-hole who wrecked my day. Angry and disgusted. Horrible service, horrible system where drivers can just suddenly change their mind with no explanation. I'm boiling mad. Zero stars would be more appropriate.

I received a receipt for the trip from the driver but my card was charged almost twice the amount. I contacted CURB, they responded needing more info which I sent and still have not heard anything back from them.
