They should probably hire people who have a basic understanding of how university works and the words "processing" and "deferral". Asked a simple support question of "I've applied to defer my exam, but it is still being processes by my uni, should I connect to my proctor to inform them why I am not attending the exam right now?". 30 minutes later and my uni emailed me the answer before they're live support understood what I was even trying to ask...

Due to the pandemic, a course that I took chose to use ProctorU instead of an in person examination. I had never sat an online proctored examination before but went into this open minded. The good: - It was very easy to schedule the exam with lots of flexibility around dates and times. If you are able to use the software on the first go, I imagine it may well be less stressful than an in person exam. - The support agents also reply to you quite quickly. The bad: - I still haven't been able to actually sit my exam. - The customer service is mixed (and that is being generous). If you want an answer the same day you have to use the in chat support, however there is no way to send any screenshots to the agent. This makes it extremely frustrating when you contact support to tell them you can't download the file because clicking download does nothing, and they just tell you to click download, even though I have explicitly said "I clicked download but nothing is downloading, and I do not have downloads in my download folder". The agents do respond quickly but they were not able to solve the problem for me and I did not feel they were "listening" to me (I say "listening" as support is limited to text based chat) and I often had to repeat myself. I feel like part of this could be improved by adding a share images function to the chat so you could share screenshots with the support agent. I have spent over an hour trying to sit my exam, trying two different devices and rebooting my router to follow the troubleshooting advice. I am still waiting for the support team to tell me how to fix the error on the second laptop (30 minutes after I sent an urgent email with the images). What makes this worse is in order to sit my exam I need to go through this all over again tomorrow!

Terrible technical service. Spent 3-4 hrs trying to take my test, still unsuccessful. Keep transferring me back and forth, still couldn’t take my test.

Pathetic customer service & poor technical experience. Sheer lack of professionalism and common sense.

According to my University, I was allowed 2 pieces of paper and a pen to do working out. I was constantly interrupted by Proctor who was complaining about my chin being down as I'm writing on my working out paper. Not to mention they constantly change Proctor's and don't keep the same person for the whole entire session. I was completely thrown off by THEIR disruptions. They don't care about your time either. Why hasn't this company been shut down yet.

The proctor for my exam turned off my firewall. I had a virus on my computer for a year until I figured out how to fix it, after my exam I noticed that my background would change and people were logging into my accounts. Often my computer would shut off and when it turned back on half the screen would be black. Keep in mind my computer is only two years old. I WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF I COULD. Do not allow your students or children to use this proctoring website because it is a safety hazard.

There are no words to describe how utterly useless this platform is. Total waste of time. Don’t understand how they are still in business. Their customer service is equally rubbish.

I am not a angry person. Any one can testify to that. But ProctorU has caused me to be an angry person. This is by far the worst thing I have been through in college. The proctor blamed me for not registering for the correct test on time because she couldn’t get it to work. And she sounded like she was at a bar! I literally told her I’m logging off good bye you are wasting my time. I literally feel like I was being pranked. And she asked me if I was in my house and if I could change rooms! No you don’t know anything about my living situation it is such a violation of privacy.
