Awful…
I don't generally leave reviews on products or companies, but Globein needs to know how bad they really are. I read through a few and it seems their response is just as cookie cutter here as it is in the emails they send you when you wage a formal complaint directly to them. They charge UPFRONT for the subscription, regardless of how long you choose. Then, if you're duped into extending or enticed because of a gift, they charge for that too. THEN they charge the shipping amount directly up front as well. So you could, in theory, end up with multiple charges before you even get on the site to pick anything. Getting on the site is a nightmare. There's a tab for subscription, there's a tab for their shop, there's a tab for your account, there's a tab for your other account (shop). There are probably other tabs, but I'm too exhausted to look right now. Subscription box picking time is a disaster. It opens at 9pm EST the day before the last day of the month for everyone. And if you're confused about what I just said *shrug*. There's the box picking part then there's the add-on picking part and if you're not a 6 month or more subscriber, you don't have access to add-ons until the next day. Generally speaking, it's not worth it to be any LESS than six month anyway, as 99% of things are "sold out" before you get in. Annual subscribers like to hoard all the things! then drop them on the last day of the 'sale', the 10th. The website for the box picking and add-on sale is a joke. In my whole 6 month subscription, I was able to log on, WITHOUT incident ONCE! Every other time, the site was down, or glitched, or some other excuse they made up. Meanwhile, there's an Apple app and those people have no problems getting on and hoarding all the things. Customer service is a joke and nearly non-existent. They only have an email, no phone. This is not a bug, it’s a feature. They claim if you email more than once, it puts you to the bottom of the que. They also tried to say that CS was delayed because of Covid (as well as shipping, warehouse, etc etc). What company doesn’t have the ability for the CS team to WORK FROM HOME? Especially if you are only taking email complaints? I have a ‘front-line’ job of sorts and was able to work from home! They’re getting too big for their britches. They were not prepared for the influx of subscriptions because everyone was suddenly at home, on their computers, and being inundated with their ads. That’s how I got suckered. Look at the pretty things! They have a FB group as well, which they censor like crazy! No negativity, ever, or you’ll be banned. You can’t ask other people about their experiences with shipping. You can’t talk about how you’re upset about this thing or that thing that got broken in transit. And heaven forbid you point out any of the other sites where they so clearly get their product from. You can be happy and positive and uplifting and FAKE FAKE FAKE! That’s just great! Oh, and you can buy and sell there too. But it HAS to be their products only. And you can’t delete your posts. Also, they love to steal ideas without giving credit. They use pictures and posts after the fact without permission. Then if you point this out, they change their group FAQ to include that you give up your rights to your posts once you post them. Did I mention they say you can’t delete your own posts? Finally, let’s talk about the products. Do yourself a favor, if you see something on their site, do a reverse image search. Chances are it is NOT a GI ‘exclusive’, as they like to claim. Fair Trade sites exist all over the internet of things. In fact, a lot of their product comes from other sites, which they probably buy at a huge warehouse markdown then upcharge like crazy to sell to unwitting consumers. They bank on people not knowing how to search. I’m taking a chance writing this review, as my subscription JUST ended and I still have not received September’s box. Plus October is waiting in the wings, whenever they manage to get to it. I give them until the end of November. If I don’t have everything I ordered in Sept & Oct, I’m filing a complaint with my CC company AND the BBB. Save yourself the hassle, DON’T fall into their trap.

Hi Beth, Thank you for sharing all of this valuable feedback with the GlobeIn team and I will be sure to pass this information to the appropriate departments that the feedback corresponds with. We know that COVID-19 and the move to the new Fulfilment Center have really delayed shipments and limited inventory over the last few months and we are working as quickly as possible to try and resolve these issues. With this move, we have also had to move all of our inventory to the new facility and get it all input into their computer systems which is why all orders are delayed at this time. We are in the very final stages of this move and we expect our shipping process to improve and be better than it has ever been. We also want to clarify that, yes, all of our subscription plans are charged in full at the time of sign up but the shipping cost if figured into your subscription total, it is not an extra amount you need to pay and all of this is outlined in the Order Summary section of the sign up process as well as letting you know what your renewal amount would be if you choose to continue with us. Unfortunately, we are unable to take phone calls at this time due to our limited customer support team. We transferred over to an email Customer Support system a few years back because we noticed it was much more efficient to be able to answer customer emails faster while providing necessary attachments, documentation and assistance with inquiries. Our Customer Support Team is a remote team and they have been for years. Currently, our response time to emails is within a 48 hour turnaround time. We don't claim that all of our products are GlobeIn exclusives. We know that the Artisans we work with are also working with othe companies to get their products out there. We want to help them succeed and not limit their abilities by letting them collaborate and contract with other companies or organizations. However, there are certain products that are GlobeIn exclusives because we work with the Artisan group to create the concept, colors, design, etc. We hope this helps address your concerns but if you have more specific questions regarding their subscription plans or shipments, we ask that you please contact [email protected] and we will get to your email as quickly as possible. Thank you, The GlobeIn Team
