For the money you cannot beat Global Eyeglasses.

Ordering my glasses was a breeze. The virtual try-on was fun and helpful. The site was easy to navigate. I was a touch apprehensive about ordering something like this over the internet, but decided to give it a shot. 14 days after my order, I called to check on them. I had never recieved any shipping information in spite of the fact that the web site promised that "most glasses are processed in 3 days". I was told that they were having equipment problems. When I voice concern (I needed these glasses for an upcoming trip), the rep said she'd put a rush on my glasses and they would be shipped shortly. I received a shipping notice the next day with tracking info. For 5 days, the tracking was "unavailable.". I called again and they said that the USPS system was having trouble and my glasses were out for deliver that day. I did receive them that day and they are wonderful. But it was a stressful process. Had the company been pro-active with contacting me ("Sorry about the delay, we had an equipment problem, your items are on the way", or "we've been notified by USPS that their shipping website is down. We'd like to assure you that your product has been shipped and will be arriving shortly") instead of waiting for me to call TWICE, this would have been a much better experience. But I suppose that the bottom line is that the glasses DID arrive in time and are perfect, so both my concerns were addressed. I just wish I hadn't had to call them to check so much.

My only issue is that I am sure I ordered two pairs of sunglasses, one for each of my daughters. However, when they arrived they were both the same Rx. I went and looked online and it shows that the order was for both the same Rx, so I'm not sure how that happened, if it was my fault or it auto-corrected or held the Rx from the first order. Anyhow, the glasses are nice quality and look great.

Globaleyeglasses.com has a wide variety of frames to choose from, same quality lenses you would expect from the big name retailers, and the option to choose various "coatings" such as scratch resist, anti-glare, UV, etc. Only took 2 weeks and the cost was about one-fourth the amount compared to what Lenscrafters would charge.

It took almost a month for the glasses I ordered from Global Eyeglasses to arrive. Because I only wear my new glasses for driving at night (following Lasik surgery), I only discovered the faint scratches covering one lens after wearing them for the fourth time, since the scratches were only visible in certain lighting. When I emailed (twice) asking for a return authorization, I was ignored for a week. I tried the online chat, and got curt responses from the customer service person, who at first refused to authorize a return, since the 30 day return period was up. Eventually, s(he) agreed to order new lenses if I paid the shipping. After 2 weeks, I still haven't received the lenses.

The frames were very stylish...the sunglasses were perfect - big and in style...and the price was right....so right that I now have more than one pair of glasses to match all the outfits!!!

I called you today July 20th and the girl said my order had been shipped and returned to your lab as not deliverable. She repeated the address where the glasses were sent and it was my correct address. What happened? She said she would try to get the package resent today. July 20th. Very disappointing service!!!

Didnt like there time that it took to make the glasses, and also glasses were not the way it looked on the site, and they said its the size you picked, nothing we can do about it, that wast they said when i called.
