I created a campaign for my son's special needs school and they suspended my account because they said it was an individual account even though the fundraiser was for his special needs school. I will never suggest them to ANY charity. I had to recreate new flyers.

To help protect nonprofits, donors, and our platform, our Terms of Service require that fundraising campaigns for schools and other organizations be created by an authorized representative of the organization. Very poor onboarding process
We have found the onboarding process to be extraordinarily difficult, and costly. We have spent countless hours, and significant dollars, trying to migrate our recurring plans. Over three months in, we are still working through bugs like duplicate charges and some plans not activating due to supposed issues with the bank/card issuer, even though those payments always processed perfectly fine with our previous vendors, Zoho and Bloomerang. Their standard response when we have raised a concern is to deflect to us, or to a third party, rather than take responsibility for the problem. They did refund us for our first year subscription cost, but only after a lot of complaining and jumping through hoops. The system itself is fairly easy to use, but we found the Quickbooks integration to be extraordinarily difficult, with very little support, so we had to enlist our accountant who spent six hours trying to figure it out (and it still might not be working properly). If you are a startup without many recurring plans or integrations it could be a could solution for you, but otherwise we can't recommend it.

No transaction history or way to protect payment info- a transaction went through months after I cancelled a recurring donation. Customer service acknowledged that it was cancelled (I repeated the cancellation) and said they can't remove my payment info. So there's no security for your financial info and customer service shrugs it off.

While Givebutter appears on donation receipts as the payment processor, donations are sent directly to the organization you supported. We’re also unable to remove records of completed transactions for compliance and security reasons. That said, if a recurring donation was successfully canceled, it should no longer continue charging moving forward. Since we’re unable to locate your account from the information included in the review, we’d really appreciate if you could reconnect with our support team using the email address tied to the donation so we can take another look into this and help clarify what happened.

I believe this company is a disgrace…
I believe this company is a disgrace for scamming people. I donated to a food pantry in January and now they tell me that I opted for quarterly. They give out email addresses that bounce back. They promote a free service to 501c3 and charge donators over 10% in fees, which is not disclose until you get billed. Will never donate to any one using their platform again.

Just to clarify, tips are always optional and can be adjusted (including set to $0) before completing a donation. We understand they can sometimes be easy to miss, and we’re always working to make this clearer and more transparent for supporters. We give organizations the option to remove tips from their pages, but many choose to keep them because tips help sustain our low-fee platform and allow us to offer our tools without requiring mandatory fees. Opted out of "tip"
Opted out of "tip", opted out of "processing fee", got charged, sought refund via online chat and form, multiple emails, got the Not My Table response and denial of refund. Will never use again.
