Overall, the Gate lock has worked very well since I’ve purchased it a couple of years ago. They seem to provide regular updates to improve the functionality, and I’ve had no real hardware issues. I know some folks are upset that there is a premium service to get full functionality, but that is the norm for online video storage systems, and not surprising, or upsetting, to me. Overall great product.

I feel safe and secure with Gate. The main advantage is while I’m away, because of the video recordings, I know that nobody entered my house, unless I authorized them to do so with their pin code. I can also easily track and see when my house keeper comes to the house and leave through the embedded camera. I am happy that I landed on Gate, instead of getting a seperate camera doorbell and a seperate keypad lock. The Gate lock has it all and it is much cheaper than buying a seperate Ring doorbell, a seprate Schlage keypad lock and even a wifi hub to connect my lock to wifi! The fact that the battery is rechargeable also makes Gate much more affordable than other locks than consume AA batteries frequently.

I've had Gate for 2.5 years via Indiegogo initial beta users and love this lock as you never need a key. No more fumbling in your pocket or locking yourself out, truly feels we have a concierge at our front door with camera and audio. I found the lock fairly easy to install. Please follow the instructions for best Wifi routing connection. The UI has some major improvements recently, showing battery % and notifying when to change the battery is awesome. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone trying to upgrade personal security in their home. No need to purchase Ring camera +Schlage lock + wifi connection + few other devices to get a "smart lock". Gate offers it all in one simple piece of hardware.
