I’ve been studying German in various formats for years. I’ve always known that grammar is my weak spot, but I’ve struggled finding a way to study it that isn’t just tedious and overly difficult. I had seriously given up hope that I’d ever find anyone that could teach it in a way that would make it anything but the worst drudgery. After much searching, I stumbled upon German with Laura. I was blown away by her ability to teach grammar in a way that actually made sense. She’s one of those rare teachers who truly appreciates how difficult learning can be sometimes, and she has figured out how to communicate challenging concepts in empathic ways—making otherwise difficult to swallow concepts not only palatable, but even very enjoyable. Seriously—try her course. If you know that your German grammar isn’t where it needs to be, you’ll get a great deal out of her videos. She’s a great teacher, and if you go through her course and don’t find that you’ve finally actually made progress in building necessary foundations for learning how to communicate in German, I’d be truly surprised. So worth it!

I highly recommend Laura's German Grammar Courses. After spending a number of years using various language tools, including Pimsleur, Babble, Rosetta Stone, Lingvist and others, (together with living and working in Germany for 2 years), I was getting frustrated with, what seemed like, arbitrary word endings and pronunciations, making my progress slow and challenging. After taking Laura's grammar course I have been able to resume my German Language learning experience with a renewed feeling of confidence and enthusiasm. Again, I highly recommend Laura's courses.

I have to say it loud out and crystal clear :- Laura's course for Fondation german grammar is the best one for mastering basic German grammar in no time and in very effective way. You will learn the different Artikels and how it's function , also plural and the ends for it that will be so easy for u after this course.and one of the most important reasons I was so thrilled to join Laura course is the German cases and declensions for it, it used to takes lots of time and charts to get it right but!!! After getting Laura course it's done in a blink of an eye with just one chart!!! Amazing also you will learn about verbes and how to conjugate them. It's just an awesome course with a great strong start to build your German language the right and effective way!!!

In an ideal world, you'd do this course before opening up a German book, to be honest. Delivered with lectures, practice notes and feedback in forums, you can see the jigsaw puzzles pieces filling in where blanks in understanding and unanswered questions formerly lurked. Laura does this with gentle hand-holding, from nouns and slots, determiners, before easing us into the concept of cases. She uses the analogy of 'stones' in showing us how the various words and their endings have to be shaped to fit each other. In addition to this, Laura gives us a lot of tools. A guide chart for words and their endings (so we can know the genders), noun plurals (with a system how to figure out which endings to use). There's also practice, practice practice. This via video (her course), the accompanying online book, and the feedback in the group. The course is well worth the money, especially if you're an English speaker who's shaky about grammar, but knows that you need this to make a good fist of the language. Well worth the money.

Laura provides a clearer more concise method of teaching than I have experienced so far. I understand more from a 30 minute explanation from her than I have with multiple teachers and language schools. I can only recommend German with Laura. Her personality shines though on the lessons making the whole experience pleasant too.

After many false starts the German Foundation course is exactly what I needed. When working in Vienna one of the secretaries who taught English in her spare time said to me that that problem with English speakers is they don't know their own grammar. I've tried to learn many times over the years but always came up against a brick wall once I'd got beyond a few phrases. Knowing the why and how the German languages works is so enlightening and makes progress so much easier. I'm now reading some fairly advanced stuff and enjoying it.

German Foundations is Amazing! I found Laura's German Foundations course through an advertisement while watching German language videos online. I waited a couple of months before I decided to give it a look. Up to that point, I had been using a couple of well-known language learning apps for months but had hit a bit of a wall with grammar concepts and was becoming frustrated with my progress. I had come to realize that I needed more help than I was receiving with the language apps alone. I went to the germanwithlaura site and took the short Unlocking German Grammar course. From that I knew that I found what I was looking for. I then moved on to the German Foundations course. I found the website itself easy to navigate and understand. I was provided with easy to understand charts and learning tools - which were greatly simplified when comparing to the typical German grammar tools that I had found elsewhere. Laura's course is very effective at removing the complexity from German grammar. The course is broken up into modules that each include great videos, quizzes and lots of well-constructed practice material. It took me about 6 weeks to get through it all but I am still practicing what I learned - you are able to refer back and access all of the learning material once finished, which is great! For me it was also very helpful to have this taught to me by another native English speaker who understands my perspective and all of the headaches and pitfalls. She knows why it is confusing and is great at explaining it in a way that sticks in your brain. She also has a lot of how-to-learn advice that I found very helpful. Now being on the other side of this course - everything is much easier to understand and I can build sentences that I know are structured correctly without giving it a lot of conscious effort. I can now also recognize and understand the grammar patterns when I read German news and other written content. I found this course to be way more valuable than I imagined. If you or someone that you know is learning German, I would highly recommend that you check this out. I have had several 'WOW' moments along the way. This is five-star material and is immensely helpful. Thank you Laura for this wonderful course!

German with Laura is unique in many ways. First it builds confidence slowly. Laura has devised a method of teaching the rules of German that does not require a great deal of memorization. It is very natural and intuitive. The key to learning anything thoroughly is organization and repetition and German with Laura hits all the marks. I highly recommend it.
