German with LauraReviews of germanwithlaura.com

German with Laura is by far the best approach to learning the fundamentals of German grammar I've come across. I took German in high school for two years and have long forgotten any grammar from that experience, but I do remember it was nowhere near as well taught as what I've learned so far in Laura's course. I highly recommend considering this course to learn more than the basic phrases and vocabulary available on Duolingo.

German with Laura is a great tool to learn the nuts and bolts in the beginning to prepare yourself for speaking German, I would recommend taking the course

Systematized instruction. I am learning German as a fourth language so some of the grammar basics are not needed, but gender, plurals and adjective ending charts and schemas are incredibly useful. Her videos shows she cares about my learning.

Been learning German off and on for years now, most recently via Michel Thomas, Duolingo and Pimsleur, but always been frustrated by the intricacies of German grammar, which popular courses like these do little or nothing to help with. Stumbled upon ‘German with Laura’ whilst desperately searching the internet for a clear explanation of the nuances of possessive pronouns (Duolingo kept telling me mine were wrong, but not why), and ……. Eureka! Explored the course content, worked through the free introductory material and the YouTube videos, and decided it was worth paying for the ‘German Foundations’ course. And now very glad I did - the frustrations of German sentence structure, cases, declensions, etc. have suddenly started to dissipate, and for the first time I am starting to feel confident that my German is either correct or, if wrong, that I can quickly work out why. Lessons are clear, easily-paced, and not so long that you start to feel overwhelmed, and Laura and her team are quick to reply to any queries you wish to raise. She advises that you learn by ‘absorption’ rather than by trying to memorise the various points, and I am certainly finding this a good way of doing it: once you have paid for the course you can repeat/review the modules as often as you want for as long as you wish. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to get to grips painlessly with German grammar.

Laura I think that your method of teaching German is completely revolutionary! (no exaggeration). As a dyslexic learner, for years I thought learning a foreign language was simply out of reach. I cannot commit to memory random phrases and cases (well maybe a handful,) my brain simply does not work that way. I need to deeply understand the purpose of a concept for it to imbed in my brain. So many times I have come up against brick walls in my German learning journey, (and other languages in my youth) which in turn caused crisis of confidence and I would walk away from my attempts really down on myself. However I stumbled across your course after a desperate search for 'what the hell is going on with German sentence structure?!' And after only 2 days of lessons I felt so empowered and my understanding of the German structures I've been struggling with advanced exponentially! Now at the end of the German Foundations course I actually feel quite emotional about it. Years of negative beliefs squashed. This is what my brain has been crying out for all this time. Vielen Dank Laura. I want to shout from the rooftops "ich liebe diesen kurs!!!!!" 📣📣📣

Recommend highly!!! This course has moved me forward with learning German in a clear, concise, and upbeat manner. I originally watched Laura's massive free content on Youtube, and she really made sense. I bit the bullet to pay for her German Foundations online learning program and have found it a great investment. Laura has streamlined how German sentence structure works, and has helped me navigate difficult concepts that other applications and even very pricey in person learning did not. There is no question for me this course has been a great investment in advancing my learning the German language. As with anything you must put in work to get a good result. The concepts are given in very reasonable modules, and you can go back and review as needed (which I recommend!) to solidify your comprehension of German sentence structure, pronouns, declensions, verb endings, etc. There is a lot of solid information in this enjoyable course. I plan on continuing on from here with her other material. Thank you Laura for your dedication and excellence!!!

This course is very well thought out. Laure does a great job of breaking the course into digestible pieces. Her descriptions are clear and concise. She does this all with infectious enthusiasm.

German with Laura courses are amazing! Clear and logical explanations. The classes are short, direct and easy to understand, which makes learning German actually fun and not tiring. Absolutely no regrets in acquiring this course!
