The salesman was friendly. He found what we needed, but neglected to tell us about extended warranty or rebate. We had to ask these questions on our own.

My husband and I bought a black Kitchenaid dishwasher here 2 months ago. Our experience seemed straightforward and uneventful. DW was available and could be installed at our earliest convenience. Unfortunately, Gerhards does not accept any requests for delivery. After you have chosen a date, they will send a text the day before delivery with the 4-5 hour window of when they will arrive with your purchase. Ten days later (because I work!) the new "stainless steel" DW arrived. It appears the salesperson had charged me for a black DW but ordered a stainless steel in error. The installer talked me into accepting the incorrect finish as they could change out the front door with the black. I went along, as he had already removed my old broken DW. Ten days later (because I work!) Steve Campbell from Gerhards Service came to change out the front panel of the DW. He was incredibly kind and professional. Unfortunately, we both realized that the black door had been ordered but not a black handle. Steve ordered the part. Fourteen days later, a different service man came to the door. He claimed to have my part. I thought it would be a door handle but it was 4 screws (?). This man (Doug or Don ) was the rudest and most unprofessional man I have ever dealt with...I had to ask him to leave my house. After he was gone and after a few phone calls to Gerhard's sales and service departments, I found out that the new Kitchenaid DWs only have stainless steel handles even if your DW is black. ( Although in the showroom the handle on the black DW was black). The sales person is supposed to tell the customer about this change that KItchenaid made. Needless to say, I am not too happy with Gerhards. I do like the Kitchenaid DW as it does clean the dishes well. I do want Gerhard's to know how valuable Steve Campbell is to their business. He is the epitome of good customer service! I even asked him to come back and make a repair to our refrigerator. However, I am in need of a new washer and dryer but I think I am going to go to Sears.
