Vitamin Lab DNA-based supplements allow no refund after a re-make.
Vitamin Lab's DNA-based, custom-made, vitamins smelled really bad after a few weeks and also have a bad after-taste. That's why I wanted to return them or get credit for them. So they offered to re-make them for me, supposedly less smelly, but the re-make stunk too. And they have a no return policy after the re-make. Having to ingest something that smells so nauseatingly funky in order not to feel like you've wasted your money is not OK and the merchant should be happy to offer a refund in today's marketplace. If not, the business model needs re-working or be tossed. In my opinion, the folks at Vitamin Lab do not really respect the customer. They care more about making money.

Hi Heather,
We sincerely apologize for your disappointment with your GenoPalate results. All of our nutrition recommendations are derived from evidence-based research from high-impact clinical trials and population studies that directly link positive health outcomes with nutritional genomics. This research shows that variants in your genes influence how well you metabolize and absorb certain nutrients and what nutrition leads to these positive health outcomes for your genotype.
If you have any further questions or concerns regarding your results, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Sincerely,
The GenoPalate® Team

Highly Recommend
Gave very informative, scientific results about my optimal diet based on my genes, offered free consultation with registered dietitian, and community forums to connect with others.

Great service worth buying
I Like the service although I initially had trouble ordering on the website. Great insights into best food options. The menus come after you get your report but you don't find this out until you read the FAQ. They should explain this up front

A friend of mine recently received her…
A friend of mine recently received her results and was thrilled. So, I requested mine. I found the report to be very helpful and seemed accurate to what I already know about my body, while also providing some new insights. Many of the foods are the ones I love, and it felt good to know that I am making appropriate choices. It gave me a feeling of confidence. I will be purchasing this for my son, and as Christmas gifts for family this year.

False advertising- product never really “on sale”
I’ve signed up to their news letter - I’ve been wanting to buy genopalate for a while. But I think they are using false advertising - I’ve been getting their emails since March, their product is always on sale. The moment a flash sale ends, the next morning a new one starts. It’s always been the same price. You are never really saving 55% - they should just list the product at $39.50 (with dna already done by ancestry) And actually offer a discount. Not lie that there is sale going on.
Also husband got it, the report he received was not very insightful, some food choices were questionable - thing we know he can’t or shouldn’t eat - were in his safe meals? Not sure how or on what they based the results for.
I’ve contacted genoplate several times about the “flash sale” or always having the same price, and they reply that that’s the best sale they have.
geno - please be honest with your consumers and stop employing false marketing advertising! Inflating you’re price to show a discount is unethical - people aren’t really saving any money.

Hi,
Thank you for providing us with your feedback. We've been offering frequent sales since COVID-19 began as many of our members have expressed to us that they're particularly interested in improving their health and immune system right now, and we want to make our product accessible to as many people as possible.
All of your husband's recommended foods were based upon his unique, genetics-based nutrient recommendations. If he has any questions or concerns regarding them, please have him reach out to us at [email protected].
If you have any further questions, concerns, or feedback, please let us know.
Sincerely,
The GenoPalate® Team

Great for the price
For the price, this product is worth it. It gives you great insights, and the supplements I started using have been great! For those reporting negative experiences with the supplements, make sure you're drinking a lot of water throughout the day. That's the only way your body can absorb everything. I think GenoPalate should provide that guidance as well going forward.

Revoked Access to reports
I tried to access the report I purchased 2 months ago, and was prompted to fill out an extensive questionnaire with private personal and behavioral questions. Without filling the questionnaire there is no way to access the purchased report anymore. This is a direct violation of consumer data rights. These questionnaires can not be mandatory and implemented without notifying a consumer after the purchase has been made. According to the law a consumer has an option to share or not to share the information, and decide if he/she wants a customized experience or not. Every legitimate Company knows about it. This makes me believe that the data they collect will be used and possibly shared with third parties whether you give consent or not. Be aware before purchasing the reports from Genopalate

Hi,
We are currently in the process of developing a much more personalized nutritional experience that not only takes into account your genetics, which we know is only one piece of the puzzle, but also your lifestyle, environmental, and dietary preferences. Knowing certain data points, such as age, allows us to determine to a greater degree of accuracy if there are any increased health risks, such as osteoporosis - which cannot be told by genetics alone.
We are also working on including new features such as calorie recommendations, health goal tracking, etc. into our product. Questions such as zip code can help us understand which foods might be regional/seasonal for you, as well as in the future we can help you find nearby resources to support your health journey. Each question of our on-boarding survey is designed to better understand you so that we can give you truly personalize nutrition recommendations that help you build a plan that you can actually use in real life.
At this time, we have made the questions mandatory in order to receive your results. Like we said earlier, the answers to these questions will provide GenoPalate the ability to further personalize your results and hopefully make the product more useful to you.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.
Sincerely,
The GenoPalate® Team
