We purchased a used 2024 Grand Design Momentum 325G from this dealership in Utah, sight unseen, because we live in Montana\. We trusted their description and believed we were buying a relatively new RV in good condition\. Unfortunately, it has turned into a very expensive nightmare\. Since delivery, we have encountered one problem after another: - **Happy Jack bed system:** Was not working properly when we received the RV\. - **Large living room slide:** Would not extend, then would not retract\. Our repairman found evidence of previous work and possible damage\. The slide motor has failed and needs replacing\. - **12\-volt electrical system:** Was not working and we had to pay out of pocket to have it repaired\. - **Freshwater tank:** Now leaks water underneath the RV when we try to fill it\. - **Tires:** Were practically bald and had to be replaced, an expensive issue that was never disclosed\. We also had a frustrating experience with the extended warranty\. We were quoted one price, then given different information and ultimately told they could not honor the price we were offered\. **Customer service after the sale has been practically nonexistent\.** I was passed from person to person, left multiple messages with the service department, and never received a single return call\. Only one person was genuinely helpful\. What concerns us most is that the RV had apparently been sitting for some time, and our repairman’s findings raise questions about whether some problems existed before the sale\. We cannot say what the dealership knew, but the condition of this RV is unacceptable\. The one positive was that they helped us secure decent financing\. Unfortunately, that is completely overshadowed by the thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs and replacement costs\. **Our advice: Never buy an RV sight unseen without an independent inspection\.** We deeply regret trusting this dealership\. What should have been an exciting purchase has become an ongoing financial and emotional headache\. This unit is a lemon and should never have been sold in its current condition. **Buyer beware\. We wish we had bought somewhere else\.**

General RV screwed up the delivery on my Travato 2025 RV. I olanned to pick it up in Michigan. Made reservations to rent a car to drive there and then the day before said it wasn't ready due ro a recall. They finally did a virtual delivery rerview and delievered it on a rollback. There were several poblems including a fri and freezer that did not work. I had to take it to another Winnebago dealer and when I reported the problem to General RV they never called me back after the customer service 24 to 48 hours rep said thet they would. Unfortunately, thsi company is in total disarray.

Ask AI to read your Purchase Agreement before you sign anything with GRV. Al can parse and explain the document's fine print if you upload a pdf version of the PA. Easy. You will be amazed at how biased the PA is against you. My story: Internet order for custom WBO van. I was told usual $5000 deposit is refundable until I sign the order sheet that WBO returns that confirms my specs. (I've bought one this way before.) Immediately after receiving my deposit, GRV wanted me to sign a separate *generic* purchase agreement, before I even saw a WBO order agreement. The PA did not include my custom specs. The PA fine print says "nothing outside this written paper is enforceable". It also says deposits are not refundable. When I requested that an official WBO order to be attached to the contract, GRV refused. If I had signed, GRV could have delivered any random Travato. Other disturbing clauses are in the PA (eg: price increases over what is clearly stated on the PA). I am so glad I went the internet route. Since I avoided direct in-person pressure with AI's help I was able to evaluate what was going on. (Tho I feel very sketchy about AI in general.) I could dismiss the way GRV tried to make me feel guilty for hesitating to sign the blank PA that "everybody signs". *Only* because I signed nothing, the downpayment should be returned to me, but how soon, I can't control. Negotiations that started out feeling normal degraded into something very distressing.

A warning to new buyers from General RV of West Chester. When purchasing a used camper beware!! We traded in a holiday rambler 5th wheel for another previously enjoyed camper. Everyone was very kind to us at the time. We were given a tour of our to be purchased camper so we knew how to use it, we noticed the interior molding looked like it was damaged and had been quickly repaired. We asked "what happened? "the reply was, "oh, it can be filled in".no disclaimer! we asked about the oven, did it work? "not sure" they will go through and check. We thought why aren't you sure? we've had this camper for 2 years now,and have come across a pre existing issues!! We found a leak through the rear AC unit and now need to replace rotted wood frame, ceiling panels and alot more!, Apparently General Rv doesn't care, doesn't want to take responsibility for it!! The camper wasn't checked thoroughly when inspected before we purchased it!! the leak didn't come up till later, now we are stuck with an expensive repair on this camper! We spoke to management but they will not help us! Thank you General for not disclosing the pre existing info! had we known the previous owners had no clue what they were doing with their RV, we wouldn't have bought it! Thank you for making us feel like #1customers.Your lack of care will not be forgotten! In our conversations about RV's? your name will come up as we talk to fellow campers. We will never come to the west chester general RV ever again!.. When looking at a second hand RV, KNOW what to look for! not just how pretty it is..

I am very disappointed with the customer service I have received after purchasing my THIRD travel trailer from General RV in Huntley—and unfortunately, it will be my last. The sales experience has always been good, but the follow-up and communication afterward have consistently declined. I purchased a 2026 Brinkley Model I in June 2026 and paid cash. I understand the trailer had been traded earlier in the year and that obtaining the title from the previous owner/bank can take time. However, nearly three months with little to no communication is unacceptable. Also, my temporary plate was expiring at the end of September and I have a two-week trip planned in October, I contacted my salesperson the first week of September who escalated the issue (including the title issue) to his management team. I followed up visiting the dealership myself the following day. A manager assured me it was being addressed and someone would contact me. After another week with no response, I escalated the matter again. I finally heard from the Operations Manager, who advised that my title and plates were submitted on September 14—three months after my purchase?? As of September 26, I still have not received them, although I understand processing may take a couple of weeks. Communication with the service department has been equally frustrating. I called my service advisor twice in August with a question and never received a response. I had a similar experience with another service advisor regarding warranty work on my previous RV. To be clear, my concern is not with the technicians, but with the lack of communication from those responsible for service questions and scheduling. As a repeat customer, I am extremely disappointed with how the Huntley location has handled these issues. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable—just timely follow-up and the courtesy of a return call. Unfortunately, based on other customer feedback, it appears communication is an ongoing issue. I reeally expected better from General RV.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service After the Sale We recently purchased a motorcoach from General RV, and unfortunately, our experience after the purchase has been extremely disappointing. During the purchasing process, everyone was friendly, helpful, and responsive. We were told that if we had any questions or issues after the purchase, we could contact them and they would be there to help. Based on that level of service, we felt confident in our decision to purchase from General RV. Unfortunately, everything changed once they received our money. I should point out that our motorcoach was paid for in full with cash and was not financed. Since the purchase, we have experienced several issues and have made numerous attempts to get assistance. Despite being told repeatedly to contact them if we needed anything, our calls have gone unanswered, and our messages have not been returned. We even went as far as contacting upper management, hoping someone would take the time to address our concerns. Unfortunately, we still did not receive a return call. We understand that not every issue can necessarily be resolved by the dealership. However, basic customer service means responding to your customers. If General RV could not assist us, we would have appreciated a simple phone call explaining that and, ideally, providing us with the appropriate contact or department that could help. Instead, we were essentially left on our own. It is extremely disappointing to see such a significant difference in the level of service before and after the sale. A customer should not feel valued only until their payment has been received. If you are considering purchasing a motorcoach or any type of RV, I strongly recommend doing your research and carefully considering the level of after-sale support you can expect from General RV before making your purchase. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend General RV based on our experience. The one-star rating feels generous given the lack of follow-up and customer support we have received.

General RV Wixom a mess in every which way! Anybody with a functioning brain should stay away. Been in and out of there for past 15 years. All the bad reviews you read are all true and then some, they are a mess. There is a completely opposite dealer in Birch Run called General RV, whom I recently dealt with and they were A plus. Same name but much better people. Matthew and his supervisor in service are the best and bend over backwards to solve your problems. David in parts is very good also. So, everyone you need after you buy is excellent.

I just traded a class a motorhome for a dutchman toy hauler first time out generator failed took it i for repair week later not fixed took out second time and came home to get repaired generator again 2 weeks later generator not fixed called manufacture of generator general rv has not spoke with manufacture I spoke to manufacture got warranty number ran thru tech diagnostic and al general rv has to do is call manufacture with warranty number and rvmp will send parts to fix over night general rv has not even tried to reach out to rvmp also have cable slides which shredded after 2 times out 3 weeks later still waiting to be repaired when I purchased this unit they were all willing to take care of me if you ask me they get your money and after that you are on your own going out tomorrow to talk to service and if things do not get fixed this week I will be out to get my rig and do the work myself I know several people that are interested in purchasing an rv I will not recommend general rv due to very poor service maybe this company needs a bit of change in there work ethics they are no better than all the rest of the rv industries this is my 4th rv and they all work the same
