As I am pretty much homebound, being able to shop online is critical, whether it is groceries or sapphire bracelets. Buying good (read expensive) jewelery online is scary enough much less from some company you got from a Google search. I can tell you unequivocally that GemsNY has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. I was first attracted to them by their absolutely beautiful gems and then their designs are unique without being quirky. My first order from them consisted of two bracelets and one ring (All for men. Who says we can't have a little sparkle in our lives.) Two things I will caution first time online buyers about. 1. The wait for these beautiful items is excruciating! 2. Remember that they are trying to sell a product so to give you the best images they can the gems would appear to be larger than the ones you actually receive. This is in no way a "gimmick" being used. It is the only way to actually show off the gems. But because the gems and settings are so beautiful you will keep building them up in your mind. It may be a smart idea, after you purchase your gem, go to a jewelery store and ask to see a comparable sized gem. Now back to GemsNY. When my impatient mind began to worry, after all this was a sizeable investment with the unknown. I called them and spoke with Ernie and he explained exactly where they were in the process and roughly how much longer I had to wait. When the finished items came and I opened the box I immediately knew that this is true craftmanship. I could not be happier in any way. In fact I just placed an additional order for the three women in my life. You can shop around, maybe find something a little cheaper or a setting you like better, but you will not ever find the quality of the finished piece anywhere else. Purchasing gems is like finding the right hair stylist (At least when I had some hair!). Once you find that person you will arrange your schedule just so you can get that person. I once had a stylist who I was with for 20 years. If she said she wanted to try something new I had no hesitation. I truly hope that I can have a 20 year relationship with GemsNY because there is no other place to purchase fine jewelery, plain and simple.

They were quick to answer any questions by phone or email. I spent hours browsing loose sapphires and the selection is fantastic with far more variety than any other site or jewelry store I’ve found. Shipping was quick and secure and even the jewelry store I took it to to make my piece was amazed at the quality and price. Would absolutely buy from them again.

Once I settled on a bunch of potential stones, I made an appointment to view them in person. I worked with Ernie, who was not only very knowledgeable about gemstones but also very accommodating and personable. I actually went through two appointments and rounds of viewing stones before finally settling on the perfect stone that matched what I was looking for. Ernie was very patient throughout the process and painstakingly prepared each stone I requested for me to view and inspect in person. Being able to see and compare the stones in person was crucial to choosing the right one, and Ernie made that possible. He made me feel confident and put me at ease about my final choice. The whole process from browsing the website to scheduling the appointment, viewing the stones, and making the final purchase felt very smooth and was handled professionally. I would not hesitate to return to GemsNY again for any future jewelry purchases and would highly recommend them to my friends and family.
