I'm really mixed on this bike. Pros: It has a nice motor, good drivetrain components, looks nice, and it's comfortable. Cons: Usability is quite poor. The rear rack is too close to the seat so you can't put anything on top of the rack. It doesn't come with water bottle bolts anywhere (???) so you have to invent your own way to carry the most basic essential. The front axle is a goofy size so a lot of accessories can't connect. There's really no way to mount a front basket (since the rear can't hold much). It's like this bike was designed for short 15 minute rides around the neighborhood and the design will activate fight you of you try to use it for more. For such an expensive bike I expected a lot more thought to be put into it.

Difficult Registration process

The folks at Gregg's were smart and accommodating. The user manuals for the Gazelle Medeo bike that I purchased are generic manuals for lots of bikes. There is no specific instruction for operating certain features of the model I purchased. Disappointing but probably a chance to learn by doing.

I recently purchased the Arroyo C8 CMB. I highly rate the comfort level (saddle!), the easy switch adjustment on the handlebars (no tools needed!) and the pure joy of exerting low energy while climbing a sharp hill with a 25 mph wind in my face. This is what I paid for and I'm happy in this regard. The not-so-pleased part includes a squeaky battery casement when riding. I found the issue mentioned on a reddit site specific to this model. I have added grease to the sides of the battery and added a sponge cushion to the bottom of the battery before loading it. Bike shop did some adjustments to the removable cover to no avail. The noise is truly ruining a pleasurable ride.

Gezelle Arroyo C8- It took me 2 years to finally adjust the Wave Frame of my C8 so it was somewhat stable. When I first got the bike, I set the seat and handlebars for an upright position. I was shocked how much frame shimmy the bike had. I seldom rode it. I considered it to unstable. I finally figured out if I slant the seat forward and lower the handlebars, my body becomes the third leg of the frame triangle. Much more stable. Not a position I prefer, but I now ride it more often. If Gizelle thickened the downtube (battery) and the "bridge" to the seat post 1-2 mms, the low step frame would be much more rigid. I got my Gazelle late last November and, living in Maine, the weather has not made it possible to ride any bike. 🙂 The first 2 short rides were great and I look forward to the weather getting warmer (in the 40’s 👍🏻) and taking my Gazelle out often. 🙂

They had trouble getting gears all going well . Took it to another bike shop and fixed in a flash for free

We bought two Arroyo C5s 3 months ago. The bikes themselves are wonderful. Great craftsmanship, fun to ride, and comfortable. I would give 5 stars, except both of our bikes are having problems with the Intuvia 100 display. Mine locks up about 50% of the time and I have to remove the display battery to get it to reset. My wife's bike display drops out intermittently (but happens almost every ride now). I have replaced the display battery in both bikes and updated the bike software, but the problems persists. I've had numerous discussions with the shop, and they are working with me. This is really a problem with Bosch, but it would be nice if Gazelle would just get some new displays out to those of us with this problem. Update: Gazelle have reached out to help me resolve me to these issues. I will update this review when they're resolved. Update: Gazelle customer support was very helpful in providing information about another software update for the bikes, and one for the Intuvia display. I performed both updates (it was very easy to do). Unfortunately, this made no difference. Both bikes continue to have their unique problems with the display. The last discussion I had with the shop, they wanted me to leave the bikes with them for 2-3 weeks to get data, and hopefully get new displays. I'll probably do this after the riding season ends. If these displays are known to have issues I don't know why Gazelle can't just send out new ones. I feel like I've jumped through enough hoops here. Giving up the bikes for 2-3 weeks seems like asking a lot. I maintain 3 stars. Great bike. Lousy display. Nice attempt at customer service, but I feel like I am working harder at fixing this than they are.
