Being self-employed, access to labs is minimal and expensive. The value of the panel of tests for myself was fantastic, so I purchased a membership for my 19 yr old athletic son to get a better picture of his health - mostly out of curiosity. His lab results revealed a chronic health condition that would have gone undetected for years until his thyroid was destroyed most likely, as the biomarkers provided are not in a typical annual lab panel. We owe the world to FH for revealing this very early on, allowing him the opportunity to manage his condition prior to further damage to his body. Thank you!

Great service with a lot of options. The testing went really well. They explained the process and made it easy to get done. The analysis was a little slow based on test results for certain blood tests but very informative once it came in. I really like being able to track progress and utilize the recommend foods to eat and those to stay away from. I’ve tested twice now and seen substantive improvements.

I really like function health and the service it provides. I’m happy with a lot of the aspects of the website and app. I am in my 2nd year using Function and have purchased membership for my wife who is navigating things due to menopause and testing within a window of time post period. Anyways, lots of good with Function. I am unfortunately disappointed with its trajectory at getting better. I have not seen any real improvements in functionality and user experience. As new companies pop up that provide a similar service(for cheaper on average) there needs to be more focus on the returning customers needs. I encourage everyone to look at multiple options out there but also know that Function health is a good choice.

I loved the extensive tests included in the first set of bloodwork. It was good to learn about what I can pay attention to better to improve my health. The disappointing part is that for that 1 yr membership, the second set of lab work does not include near as many tests to monitor for improvement. A whole new set of costs are involved to test for results that were out of range the second time.

Getting these annual blood/urine tests (and about 2/3 of them are done 2x per year) is well worth it. While there is a little overlap in the common lab tests normally done at least annually by your own primary physician, even those are usually done at different times than these during each year, so that you end up with a timeline throughout the year of how you are doing in those basic lab results. But Function Health's labwork covers many more than just those basics. I personally consider proactively tracking all these kinds of health markers of great value, and to plan on doing this for as long as it's beneficial. Just like full body MRI's (which are also proactive), all of these are helpful toward proactively providing peace of mind that everything (hopefully) is in good working order, or if not, giving you some advance notice of issues that need to be addressed.

I can not express enough how much I appreciate the Functional Health experiences over this past year of 2025. The Innovation Team is very personable. I feel like I must be the only patient they have with all the attention paid to me and my health concerns. It is not like the typical doctor visit trying to treat the constantly changing symptoms I may have. With function health they look for the source of the problems. I have noticed a great benefit with the knowledge we are working toward a solution not a bandaid or quick fix which may cause other symptoms. We are awesomely made (Psalms 139) and our body speaks to us, with Dr. Pepper and the rest of the team working diligently to uncover what our body needs instead of meeting quotas on what some physicians may be pushing (a personal opinion) I am confident that I can and will be the best I was intended to be following a plan with confidence and weekly assurance with better health and energy. My original complaint was it was not all covered by insurance but as my Mom use to say, the proof is in the pudding and I have definitely seen the proof. Thank you Dr Pepper and Dr Wolf for your dedication to improve upon medical and holistic medicine. Sincerely, Doris Klopp

I would give FH a 5-star rating, but I was disappointed that the follow-up visit only covered 4 of my 22 "out-of-range" markers. You will need to pay the original amount for the whole test again for your follow-up visit to get an accurate view of the improvements or areas that still require work. It seems that an algorithm could easily tailor your follow-up to the areas that need monitoring. Thus, this made the experience a lot more expensive than I had hoped to spend. Otherwise, I do enjoy the ease of using the app, the extensive and helpful info on each marker, and the detailed Clinician notes. Overall, I am happy with the program.
