I deeply regret going solar with Freedom Forever. The sales team promised one thing, but the company delivered something entirely different—and claimed they were “fulfilling their promise,” which is completely false. The system they installed barely benefits me and has become a financial burden, eating into my home’s equity and making it extremely difficult to sell. The installation team was negligent, installing the system incorrectly. It took months to correct their mistakes, and throughout the process, the company made no effort to act in good faith or offer any restitution. This has been one of the biggest regrets of my life. I would strongly advise anyone considering solar to avoid Freedom Forever. Would rate negative stars if I could

They lie from the moment you meet them. The equipment they recommend and install cannot possibly do anything close to what they claim. in fact they intentionally install equipment that wont in efforts to get you to buy updated equipment and batterries to actually power your home. please for all that is good research purchasing equipment yourself and hiring an electrician to install it

My system’s production dropped by about 80% and my electric bill nearly tripled. That was months ago. It’s still not resolved. Since then, dealing with Freedom Forever has been the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’ve been told multiple, completely different things: • That a part was being ordered (for months) • Then that no part was ever ordered • Then that I need to order something myself — with no clear instructions I’m still waiting on a full system diagnostic, and I also have a roof leak near the panels that hasn’t been addressed. Every time I call, I’m on hold for an extremely long time. When I do get through, I get vague or circular answers that don’t lead to any real resolution. My online “portal” account doesn’t even show an active service request! At this point, I’ve had to start looking for outside help just to figure out what’s going on with my own system. What’s especially concerning is reading through the reviews here. There seems to be a very stark split — either glowing praise about customer service, or experiences like mine that involve long delays, confusion, and no clear path to resolution. That contrast is hard to ignore, especially when my experience aligns so closely with the negative ones. The installation is only part of the story. What really matters is how issues are handled after the fact — and in my case, there has been zero accountability or follow-through.

If I could rate them lower, I would. The salesman tells you everything you want to hear about cost saving. They take 6 months of electric bills and give you estimated numbers of what you'll be saving. We've never come close to those numbers. I had someone come out independently to inspect the system, and they said Freedom Forever installed a smaller power inverter than required. My roof started leaking soon after they installed. I called them and they of course said it wasn't from their work. Even though the roof was fine before their inexperienced installers went up there. And I know they were inexperienced for a fact, because their supervisor asked if they could go home early every single day. They weren't used to the heat. It also took them 3 weeks to install, not 4 days as they previously lied to me about. Now I'm trying to get 2 panels off my house to repair the roof they damaged. I called them in Nov. It's been almost 6 months and we're still not close to getting these worthless panels off while my ceiling deteriorates. They charge $250 a panel to remove, and $250 to reinstall. That would put me at $1000. So I told them I don't want the 2 worthless panels reinstalled and they're going to charge me $880 just to remove only. (not kidding, i have the emails saved) Do not use this company. It's basically a scam at this point. They target neighborhoods in the 15-20 yr range. They damage your roof, to keep the remove and reinstall racket going. The name of this company is irony. There is no freedom. Only a scam to get as much money out of people as possible. Edit: Note the fake bot response to my review. Telling me to contact their extraordinarily terribly customer service for help. And pay attention to the positive reviews. They're all 1 line and don't say anything anything helpful. It cannot be stated enough how bad this company is.

When going through the process of getting my solar panels installed on my 2007 home, there was an inspection done (early spring of 2021). I told the representative- Alexandro Bogdan that I would not have the solar panels installed if my shingles were going to need to be replaced with 5 years of getting the solar panels installed. They performed an inspection and deemed that the shingles on the roof were in good shape for solar panel installation. PEOPLE! If your shingles are older than 10 years- DO NOT GET SOLAR PANELS! From any solar company! Fast forward to December of 2024 and I'm getting notices from my homeowner's insurance that they will no longer cover me (after doing their own inspection via drone) because the shingles are too old for them to continue coverage on my house. After some refusals from other homeowners' insurance companies, I finally found a servicer to carry my homeowner's insurance I have been trying to get ahold of Forever Freedom since that time (2024) to find out if it's covered by their warranty to remove & reinstall their solar panels. **CRICKETS!** It is now 2026 and I still have not heard anything from anyone. No one from Freedom Forever will tell me if I need to pay, or I get the runaround about someone to come inspect and provide me with a quote. I have been getting quotes form roofers to do the shingles, but they need to know if the company that installed them is going to take them down or if they need to do it. At this time my shingles definitely need to be replaced, they are getting so thin from wear & weather. It'll be no time at all before I do get water damage from leaking when it rains. I would like to hear back from Freedom Forever because they keep telling me that if I have someone else remove & reinstall the solar panels that it'll void the warranty. What in the actual shenanigans is going on that I can't even get an email, a follow up phone call. Some communication is needed!

Like there is no costumer service. Takes 3 months to schedule you.

They get a 1 star only because of the equipment they use which is top notch. Other than that this company is a joke. Customer service is non-existent. No one knows what is going on with your project. If you get it completed in 6 months you are lucky. If you need a service call it will be an 8-9 month wait. STAY AWAY FROM THESE P.O.S. All you'll get is frustration and stress. Horrible company.

We signed with Freedom Forever at the end of December 2025 and paid upfront through a loan for full solar installation, with the expectation the system would be installed and operational by year end. The Sacramento install team completed the physical install on December 31st. However, when the county inspector arrived for approval, the installation FAILED due to exposed hanging wires under the panels. What makes this worse is that the Sacramento installation team was required to be present during the inspection -- and they did not show up. The inspector arrived alone, the system failed inspection due to improper installation, and no installer was there to address or even acknowledge the issue. This was a mandatory step in the process, and they missed it entirely. Because of that failure, the system cannot be approved or turned on. Since then: - We have been paying our solar loan for nearly 2 months for a system that is NOT connected and NOT producing power. - The Sacramento team failed to show up for a scheduled correction appointment within their 6-hour window. - There is no direct way to contact the Sacramento installation or scheduling team. - Customer service repeatedly refuses to connect us to supervisors or provide last names (Jaycel said they are not allowed to do so or have a reference number of the recorded phone call) - A supervisor Jocelyn Paz promised multiple times to resolve this and it took 7 attempts and many follow ups for weeks to get reply over the email that service will come (which didn't) -No accountability. No urgency. No ownership. We are paying for a system that does not work because of their installation errors and scheduling failures. Customer service is unresponsive and dismissive. Management hides behind call centers. There is no escalation path. If you are in California -- especially Sacramento -- think carefully before signing. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had.
