The sales reps and construction crew were great
The sales reps were very helpful. A previous company had offered us a contract much higher - estimating our usage much higher than it is. The young men assisted in helping us cancel the other contract. Construction crew was awesome. They were very thorough and used every safety precaution. Everything was going very smoothly until the inspection. A few repairs had to be made. We're waiting on final inspection. We were hoping to be using solar by now, but it is construction season.

I am a solar professional
I am a solar professional. I have recently added Apricot Solar (a marketing arm of Freedom Forever) to my list of offerings. The training and education requires honesty, transparency, and completely discourages any dishonest representation or manipulation to "score a sale".
These other 1 star reviews are ridiculous, written by uneducated consumers, and that is only partly the fault of the individual salesperson.
The average solar install takes 2-4 months to complete. This is because it is a major home renovation, requiring the cooperation of local government permitting entities, and with the power company, who DOESNT WANT YOU TO GO SOLAR, BECAUSE THEY LOSE MONEY!
I got solar on my own home, the installation was done in about 3 weeks, and the permitting, inspections and Permissions To Operate took about 40 days after installation. There were minor issues, and the manufacturer of my equipment talked me through the fix. My installation was by another company that sold the same brand panels and inverters, for the same price per watt, and had similar issues and reviews, but I do not regret my decision.
Any home owner who ends up suprised because they have a "grid-tied" system, was only going for the cheap solution and did not do their homework.
Half the sales guys out there are going to suck. This is why you get more than one quote when you spend $40k!
Solar is an investment that saves you money over the long term, increases the value of your home, and can give you energy security if you spend the money to get the right configuration.
(I have not received any commission, payment nor incentive from either company to date, and my experience qualifies me to leave this review according to the rules of this site. Customers need EDUCATION, and bad reviews on a company for issues beyond their control should be seen as such.)
