It don't matter if you pay your bill on time or not. I closed my account due to moving and was owed a refund, due to my 132 dollar deposit. Now I'm moving in to a new place and they want a 378 dollar deposit to start service! That is insane especially in todays economy when everyone is struggling! To charge that much for anyone is ridiculous! Pensacola needs a new electric company because these people are not it!!

I haven't even moved into my place and already having a terrible experience. They initially set up my account with the wrong email address and now I can't log in or change my account information which is required by my landlord to move in. I have tried calling customer service but just get bounced around from agent to agent - 1 hr on the phone so far and no resolution. This is my third attempt at fixing the problem too...I can just imagine what it will be like trying to be a customer of this monopoly. Chat doesn't work no email contact, help sections don't work, can't even log into my own account. Absolutley terrible that these people get to keep this up...if I had a ton of money and time I would sue ths shit out of them and the government to try and break up this monoply control.

I set up AutoPay about two weeks before my first FPL bill was due, assuming everything was good to go. Unfortunately, AutoPay wasn't activated for that first bill, and I never received any payment reminder or overdue notice. As a result, I was charged a late fee, and the missed payment ended up hurting my credit score. When I contacted customer service, they weren't willing or able to help resolve the issue. They basically said there was nothing they could do. I'm sharing this as a warning for anyone who signs up for AutoPay with FPL. Double-check that it's actually active before relying on it, especially for your first bill.

Installed a smart meter without our consent. We have opted out and paid the $89 fee plus $13 per month to have a non-standard meter. However they installed the smart meter anyway without alerting us. When we called to complain they said it could take a month to take it off. Finally got a supervisor who said they would be out to change it in one business day. That was a week ago. I've called several times and they tell me they will transfer me to the right department but put me back in the main queue to deal with AI and another hold. When I said, "hold on, let me get my husband" the woman started taking it more seriously......... yikes!!

Awful customer service and an unacceptable website.

Well looks like im not the only one that I submit payment through my bank and fpl couldn't do their job right or at all. I have verified i put in right info its fpl that did something wrong yet they trying to charge me 70.00 for returned item although my bank verified fpl never submitted anything to them at least not with the info I provided.

Trash company with trash service. Every time there is a tiny storm and sometimes there is no storm we lose power. It’s always isolated to a few streets or a block and it always involves our property. We pay full price for sub par service. I hate FPL. I am so sick of this trash company providing horrible cheap service.

We had a tornado devastate our community oct 9 2024 I took a street light out that lit up our entire neighborhood, behind all our homes. I've called at least 8 times they say 2 weeks each time, about 3-4 months ago they came and removed the damaged on hanging by wires but didn't replace it. It will be 2 years of promises in a few months, in the meantime we've have at least 10-15 break ins cause its pitch black at night out there and they come through the woods. It must be very difficult to put a light up, 2 wire , 2-4 screws maybe very difficult FPL really don't care as they say they do
