Buyer BEWARE.
Buyer BEWARE. We went with Floor Daddy because they seemed to have great reviews. We agreed on a price (slightly above our budget because we thought they’d be worth it). We wanted to get our whole house replaced with new tile (we had majority carpet and some tile). It was a bit of red flag that they asked for full payment up front but because of their reviews, we trusted that everything would be fine. Although we were told the installation crew would move all the bigger furniture, we ended up moving all the furniture for the crew ahead of time to hopefully cut down on installation time. I work from home so the quicker this job could be done, the better. The first day the crew, they started demo in one of our rooms but after they unloaded a pallet of tile, we realized the tile was different than what we originally thought we ordered. Thankfully I took photos of what we wanted. After talking to the manager, Cheryl, she explained the sales consultant entered the order incorrectly and that they would have to order the correct tile which would arrive a week later. The next time the “crew” came, it was one person who delivered the correct tile at around 9am. He ended up leaving without a word. I messaged him an hour later to see when he or his crew would be back. I got the response that they’d return between 12:30pm-1pm. By 1:15pm I called the manager Cheryl to see if this is normal or what to expect, she told me she would find out and call me back. I never got a call back from her and the crew showed up at 2pm. I also made Cheryl (and the crew) aware that I worked from home and asked if the crew worked any weekends so that my office/master bedroom could be worked on last to accommodate my schedule better. She confirmed they worked Saturdays and that they should be able to accommodate that. No biggie if not, it’s just easier for me to prepare to either be off work or work in a different area if needed. She also mentioned that the crew “wouldn’t work back and forth between rooms”, that was inaccurate too. We received mixed signals about the crew working the first Saturday but the first Saturday arrived and they did not show. Again, that’s fine if it was made clear ahead of time and I didn’t have to reach out to them but this was not the case. The last couple days of install was very rushed, patchy grout work and areas that were missed. While baseboards were getting installed, a manager named Rob came to do a walk through. He said he took pictures of things he wanted the crew to come back and fix and that I would be getting a call to schedule them. The day after I got a call from Cheryl who said she would connect with Rob and call me back. She never called back and nothing was scheduled. Overall, communication was awful and they are not as thorough as they seem on paper…even if you spend 20k with them. I have reached out to them several times to resolve and they have my contact info but I have yet to hear from them directly.
