Excellent Broker - Disappointing CRS800S
My 4-star rating is a compromise between 5 stars for Fitness Equipment Brokers and 3 stars for the Spirit Company. Also, 5 stars for the shipping company: ABF Delivery Fitness company: Israel was very helpful and delivered everything as promised. I can easily recommend this company for exercise equipment. I can't recommend the Spirit Company's CRS800S Recumbent Stepper because of its abysmal assembly process and instruction manual. CRS800S Pros: - Once assembled, the machine's overall function is as expected and meets my exercise needs. - Solid build and smooth operation - Good warranty CRS800S Cons: - Extremely frustrating and time-consuming assembly procedure - Incompetent assembly design that results in completely unnecessary contortions. For example, attaching 4 bolts to the seat can easily take an hour. - The instruction manual is very hard to read and follow, it's an odd layout - The parts box was busted open, and all the nuts, bolts, washers, etc., were in one pile instead of being sorted by assembly step. They should have been in labeled bags. - The instruction manual indicates how to open the shipping box, but it was buried deep in the packing. - The shipping pallet was rotted and falling apart. - The display console is crooked. - The heart rate handles and arm rests are of little practical value. In addition, the solution to the miserable assembly process is not to pay for an installer, as any future repairs will encounter the same problems. The solution is to re-engineer the process and rewrite the manual.
