First Class Movers truly lived up to their name! I had a last-minute move and was stressed about finding someone reliable on such short notice. They stepped up and made the entire process smooth. The team was professional, efficient, and handled everything with care. Highly recommend them for anyone needing dependable movers, especially in a pinch!

Moving and house shopping is already stressful enough. We did not need this added frustration.
Pros:
- They packed our stuff.
- They stored our stuff.
- The first month of storage was free.
- They delivered our stuff with minimal damage.
Cons:
- They are not a moving company. They are a broker pretending to be a moving company.
- They do not accept more conventional forms of payment, such as a 'credit card', even when paying for storage fees.
- They are slow to process storage fee payments, even erroneously stating you are 'late' when they haven't finished processing a payment made weeks ago. To their credit, they were quick to admit fault in this when I brought this error to their attention.
- The cost was exhorbitant.
- The cost for storage was triple what we were originally quoted.
- If you want your stuff delivered on a specific date, they will charge you an additional fee.
- They will charge you if they need to use an elevator when delivering your stuff.
- They will charge you if they have to bring things up more than one flight of stairs, defined by them as 'seven steps', though they wave this fee for single family residences.
- They will charge you a 'long carry fee' if they have to carry things more than 75 feet.
- They will charge a 'shuttle fee' if they cannot park their semi on your street.
- Contacting a human being via phone proved difficult in most cases. Usually, we would call only to receive an immediate text telling us they were 'experiencing a high volume of calls'.
- Getting a straight answer when we were trying to arrange for delivery was impossible. Even for a basic question as simple as 'Can we get an estimate as to when we can expect our items to be delivered', the only answer we would receive was 'We don't have an exact estimate'. Last I was aware, exact estimates are not a thing, that's why they are estimates.
- The 'delivery window' is basically useless. We were told it could take between 2 and 12 days to receive our things after we requested the delivery on 06/17. We were informed the delivery was on the way the afternoon of 06/19. On 06/20 we were told the delivery would arrive within a two hour window (16:00-18:00) on 06/21. The morning of 06/21, we received another text message from the driver (NOT "First Class Movers") stating the delivery would be delayed until 06/22 between 07:00 and 09:00. To their credit, they did meet this second delivery window. This might be fine for most cases, but as I live four hours away from where the delivery dropoff is, it caused us much difficulty.
- Delivery driver was either unwilling or unable to delay delivery to a date more convenient for us. Not their fault, but definitely a significant con in my book.
- Delivery crew consisted of literally one man speaking broken english to unload an entire house's worth of stuff. The 'crew' was a pleasant person, but I'd expect more than one person for handling some of the things we had delivered, as many pieces were quite large and heavy.
The Bottom Line: If you do not care about your time, your money, your things, or getting to reliably communicate with actual human beings, you'll probably have an acceptable experience with this company, but I would still not recommend them to you or to anyone else. I don't know if these sorts of practices are just industry standard or if they are standard practice for this company, but I feel neither case is acceptable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’d like to clarify a few important points regarding your move.
Your relocation was originally booked through Safe Ship Moving Services, which is a licensed interstate moving broker. As stated in the Binding Estimate you signed, Safe Ship’s role was to coordinate and arrange transportation through an FMCSA-authorized motor carrier. First Class Movers was the carrier assigned to service your move. This can be confirmed on our FMCSA SAFER web snapshot, which is publicly available online.
Because of this distinction, some of the concerns raised in your review—such as the booking process, method of payment for deposits, and quoted storage rates—relate to the broker’s estimate and policies rather than First Class Movers directly. Once your items were in our care, First Class Movers provided the contracted services: packing, storage (including the free first month listed in your agreement), transportation, and delivery.
Regarding charges for services such as stairs, long carry, shuttle, or specific delivery dates—these are optional accessorial services disclosed in the estimate and standard within the moving industry. They are only applied if those conditions exist at delivery and were not hidden or added after the fact.
We also understand your frustration about delivery scheduling. As outlined in your contract, delivery dates are provided as an estimated window (in your case, up to 12 business days for the mileage involved) unless a guaranteed service option is purchased. Our team spoke with you multiple times throughout your move including after hours, and your delivery was completed in 4 business days, which is well within the contract timeframe.
We appreciate that you acknowledged our crew’s efforts in packing, storage, and delivery with minimal damage. We also take seriously your concerns about communication and staffing, and will continue working on improving those areas.
Thank you again for your feedback. We encourage all customers to review their contracts carefully when booking through a broker, as it explains the roles of each party and outlines potential charges. Our goal is always transparency and service in line with federal regulations, and we regret if aspects of the process caused you frustration.

First class movers and MoveSafe has…
First class movers and MoveSafe have given me the worst moving experience. I was better off renting a uhaul. All the items that the movers packed from my original location arrived water damaged. I have attempted to call them over a dozen times with absolutely no response almost as if they have no employees to even have a customer service. I need to file a claim but need to speak to someone about how to handle my damaged items. I feel cheated out of over $3000 because all the items I decided to move with me instead of sell and rent a uhaul have been damaged.
The lack of accountability from the company that dispatched them is insane as well. Don’t get me started on the lack of communication when it came to the arrival of my stuff. They called me while I was headed out of town on Father’s Day to visit my dad in another city saying they had my items on route for delivery (not 24 hr notice) I have lost sleep over this. LITERALLY. my very expensive mattress. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MY MOVE. Damaged.

First Class Mover - horrible move, horrible service
First Class Mover is the farthest thing from first class service imaginable. They don't care about you or your belongings. My furniture arrived soaking wet, growing MOLD and literally disintegrating. The boxes were so wet that they fell apart while being carried into the house. Doug & Elizabeth would not answer any of our multiple calls while the mover was still at the house. After multiple attempts to reach either one of them, the only response I got was "contact customer service". I then got a claim form to file but not once did Doug or Elizabeth bother to call to see what the issue was.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent experience with First Class Movers. We are sorry to hear about your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address the situation.
During the delivery of your shipment, the driver provided photos and reported minor damage to a dresser and two damaged boxes. The driver informed you at that time that any concerns would be addressed through our claims process, and we promptly provided you with a claim form to begin that process. However, as of today, we have not received a completed claim form from you and have not heard further from you about this matter.
Our goal is always to ensure a smooth resolution when issues arise. While the photos provided by the driver indicate the damage may be limited, the claims process is essential for assessing and resolving such situations.
You have up to 9 months from the date of delivery to file a damage claim. To ensure that you receive compensation in accordance with your agreement, we encourage you to complete and submit the claim form within this timeframe.
If you have additional concerns or need help with the form, please contact our customer service team.
We value your business and regret any inconvenience this has caused. Our team is committed to addressing your concerns promptly once we have the necessary information.

The best moving experience
Denise in reservations started off my fantastic experience. She's wonderful and treated me like a friend and provided exceptional assistance. The Movers on both ends were great. Very accommodating and super careful with my "stuff". Have already recommended the company to 2 different friends for their upcoming move. I would use this company again in a heart beat!

First Class Movers is the absolute…
First Class Movers is the absolute WORST Company I have ever dealt with of any kind! Their customer relations started out great but once they show up and try and rip you off of a least double what the contract states, all professionalism goes away. They have a manager named DOUG who is the biggest punk who literally threatened to come to my house and beat me up. Told me he was a former navy seal and knew how to hurt people. He threatened to sue me and try and intimidate me, and bully me and claimed all kinds of power with contacts within the government to ruin me and blah, blah, blah. He needs to be shut down and run off and go back to his faux military mess. Said he was filing charges on me and they would serve papers the next day, he told me that on several occasions. The movers were from Russia and decent guys and did a good job but even then we had several items damaged and ruined.
If I could leave a worse review, I would! If you are dealing with Doug, be prepared for him to lie and lie again, to threaten and threaten again and bully you if you let him. The last time he threatened to serve papers on me for ANOTHER one of his lies, I told him he was full of it. They didn’t even have the decency to follow up with us on our complaints. Stay as far away from this company as you can! They are toxic, dishonest, threatening, I noticed that after we signed the contract with them, the Better Business Bureau took them off their list of approved movers. Read the reviews of those who were done just like us and believe them! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are the absolute worst!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
Doug the racist individual running this company under US DOT # 3846816. Made some extremely racist remarks the minute i got on the phone with him to get a quote, I hung up quickly but he then proceeded to harass and threaten me by text sending me articles of ICE and another article of a man on trial for a hate crime. He even went as far as asking me for my address and come to me to handle this personally all while claiming to be a "Bona Fide Agent for the FMCSA". AVOID AT ALL COST !!

This review was posted under a fake name, and despite repeated requests, the individual refused to provide any identifying information. Nonetheless, we are aware of who this is. During their interaction with our representative, a quick Google search was performed as part of routine due diligence. To our surprise, the search returned a concerning article regarding a violent crime committed by an individual with the same name, age, and location as the person contacting us.
“A ***** man accused of trying to run over two Jewish men outside a ***** last year in what prosecutors deemed a hate-driven attack will now face attempted murder charges, court records show.
***** had been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with a hate crime enhancement, but prosecutors filed an amended complaint Tuesday accusing him of trying to kill the two men as they exited ***** in November.”
Out of an abundance of caution and in the most respectful manner possible, our representative inquired about the matter. Unfortunately, the conversation abruptly ended. No offense was intended, and we regret that our actions were perceived otherwise. However, the safety of our crew is our top priority, and we cannot knowingly send them to the home of someone accused of violent criminal activity.
We do not condone racism, harassment, or threats in any form, and we categorically deny the false accusations made in this review. Our policies and practices are rooted in respect and safety for both our staff and our customers. We wish this individual well and hope for a resolution to any misunderstandings.

Can’t believe I am writing this
Can’t believe I am writing this. Just had the weirdest conversation with the rudest businessman salesman or whatever he was. All we wanted was a quote and told him we would do our research. This man was LIVID when we told him that. He said and I quote “if you need to do all that instead of following my lead, loose my number”. I did get a good laugh out the call.. but surely this company can’t be getting real customers this way. THERE is NO WAY. Trust pilot please do NOT delete my review I am a real person and all I did was call this company to get a moving quote and they were super rude and very bullying. Just because I did not give out my name and address to the scary person on the other line does not mean the conversation did not happen. If my review is removed I will keep posting another.
Response from First class moversFeb 7, 2025
This individual is not in our system and we have no record that they were ever contacted by or communicated with anyone from our reservations team. We have asked Trustpilot to remove this review on the basis that it is not based on an experience with our company.
