First Class Movers was the carrier…
First Class Movers was the carrier chosen by Vantage Movers to do our cross country move. It was a horrible experience. On moving day they added so many extra charges and packing materials they never used, that the cost almost doubled. Then we had to pay their fees or they wouldn't deliver. They charged us hundreds of dollars for crates and we said "no crates" and saw no crates. We couldn't be there at pick up and we didn't get our invoice for a week. The customer service was terrible. Dana wouldn't acknowledge that my invoice was missing one of my deposits and told me if I didn't pay in 5 days that they would get rid of my stuff. At drop off they had more unexpected charges and refused to unload until my husband went to the bank to get more cash. Then when we unpacked, the box of silverware was missing. I got $.60 a pound for it. About $15. They held my things hostage and kept increasing what I had to pay to get it. Vantage Movers had no control over them. We were stuck.
