I own several Fender Custom Shop, US and Japan models and Gretsch guitars. Some are new and others used. In all cases quality is very high. Occasionally I have reason to contact Fender Customer support to address questions and in all cases the experience has been excellent both via phone and email communication. I recently reached out to Nathan Jones at Fender support and he was particularly helpful in relation to a question on Gretsch guitars I own. I have worked with other Fender specialists and their support has also been great. Overall great experience.

I am updating my earlier review regarding a warranty claim for a neck pocket crack on my guitar. Although the initial experience presented some hurdles, Fender’s customer relations team stepped in personally to turn everything around and exceed my expectations. Mark from Fender reached out and arranged to send me a brand-new replacement of the exact same guitar. That level of responsiveness and care truly proves that Fender isn't just a company with rich musical legacy, they are committed to excellence in customer service and genuinely stand behind their products and players. Update: After posting this review, Fender reached back out to me with a senior customer relations specialist. This was a totally different experience where the rep went out of his way to source the correct screw as well as send me some extras as an apology for the service up to that point. Fender took care of me and I am updating my review. My only word of advice to Fender is to train lower-level reps better so customers don't have to resort to public reviews just to be heard. Original Review: Bought a used Gretsch Electromatic G5655TG. I asked Fender/Gretsch for the OEM dimensions of two pieces of hardware: a pickguard screw and spacer. Nearly two weeks and multiple replies later, they first sent me parts for the wrong model, then repeatedly redirected me to third-party retailers after I explicitly explained I wanted OEM specifications. When I pushed back, they said they were contacting their Gretsch representative for the actual information. After all that, the final answer was that the dimensions are “proprietary.” So Fender apparently can’t provide the correct parts for its own guitar, repeatedly ignores what the customer is actually asking for, and then takes nearly two weeks to ultimately refuse to provide the dimensions of a screw and spacer. Apparently ‘Player Experience Representative’ means making sure the player experiences as little useful customer service as possible.
