Booked a fare, was told not available. Would need to upgrade from 287 to 850 dollars. Classic bait and switch. Booked direct with American for 540 dollars. They still charged me 100 dollar fee, after fighting with them as they wanted to not refund at all even though that fare was no longer available. Horrible company, always book direct!!!!

I had a truly frustrating and disappointing experience with FBC Travels, made even worse by the circumstances surrounding my trip. I had a sudden family emergency—a death in the family—and had to book a ticket last minute. During an already emotional and stressful time, I trusted this company to help me get where I needed to be. After purchasing what I later discovered was a “flexible ticket,” I assumed I would at least have some level of reliability and support. However, on my way to the airport, I found out I had been bumped from my original itinerary and wasn’t even scheduled to leave for another two days. No prior notice, no clear explanation—just added stress when I could least handle it. When I spoke with a manager, she told me she could get me on another flight that same day—but only if I paid double the original ticket price. Given my situation, I felt I had no choice but to accept. What’s even more upsetting is that when I boarded the second flight, it was not sold out at all—there were plenty of empty seats. It made it clear that the extra charge was unnecessary and purely opportunistic. Instead of compassion or understanding during a family emergency, I was met with poor communication, questionable practices, and a lack of basic customer care. I would strongly urge others to think twice before booking with FBC Travels. This was an experience I hope no one else has to go through.

Booked 3 Tickets on United Airlines through FBC Travels on 5/7/26 in the amount of $881.72. Received a phone call from Patrick that there was a problem with my booking request. The flight to Des Moines was not available. He asked me to change the travel date, but I can't because I am going to a wedding. I asked him to cancel the booking, and he said I was already charged. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was transferred to Emily Green. Mind you, they are not American, but they have American names, she then said. For a nominal amount of $496.00 per person, she could get us on a flight. That was when I figured out this was a scam to get more money from me. They have already charged me $881.72, and now she is going in for an additional $1,488.00 with no shame. I told her I would rather lose the $881.72 than give her any more money. I have reported this to my credit card company and called United Airlines; next is the BBB

Ignore the posted rates. These are just "standby" and once you're already a couple of hundred in the hole, you have to upgrade and it costs you roughly twice as much as you thought.
