They are a FRAUD!! Bought a ticket for my son’s friend and used the “text my ticket” option to send it to him since I didn’t have access to a printer . When he got to the theater, he was having issues pulling. the scan code up, but we had the confirmation number of the order so gave that to them, only to be told this wasn’t “good enough”. So we had to buy another ticket to get this kid into the movie. When i contacted Fandango customer service, they pretty much said “Too bad so sad”. Do NOT use this service! A lot of theaters have their own online buying service instead of going through this third party highway robbery site,, or just go to the box office and buy your tickets directly through them.

I have been using Fandango for a while now and for the first time I have ran into the problem of not being able to receive a refund and I have been a VIP member. I purchased tickets for myself and a family member. I recently just had a baby and it’s hard for me to get a babysitter so I go watch movies with my little one. After picking up my tickets purchasing items at the food stand and heading into the movie to sit down and watch it. I was stopped and advised that I could not take my 8month old baby girl inside with me because of it only being adult time. Didn’t think anything of it because it was still early in the day. I have been trying my hardest for about 3 weeks now to get my money back and have been told multiple time that they are not refunding or exchanging anything to accommodate me for my tickets. I will not once ever purchase from their website again

We received a gift card and decided to go see a movie. Tried for 45 minutes to use the gift card, and it kept telling me it was an invalid number. Tried to do live chat, but was told I was 25th in line and would have a 20 minute wait. I tried to call customer service and was put on hold. My call was never taken. I guess my 25$ gift card is useless.

Got to movie theatre and purchase was not recognized. Refused refund. Suggest you pay on site. Don't use Fandango.

Stay away from this service. Unfortunately my wife has used this service for a while and we decided to purchase tickets for 6 of our teenage kids this Saturday through Fandango. The kids were unable to get into the movie to see the film we had tickets for. The theater wouldn't exchange the tickets for a different movie and told us to contact Fandango. Well, we tried to contact Fandango. But you can't get in touch with anyone from Fandango. On hold 40 minutes and eventually left a call back number. No one ever called back. I called later and was on hold for an hour and gave up. Finally was able to contact them Monday and they will not refund tickets despite having call logs showing we called at least 30 minutes before the movie. Ended up having to eat $60 for this horrible service and pay another $60 to the theater to get my kids into another movie. Like I said, wife uses them and when we go to the movies we typically have 8 kids and 2 adults. That's quite a chunk of change Fandango will be missing out on. So Enjoy that $60 Fandango. It is your last from me.

In buying tickets for a movie, I was redirected to a whole different city at check out. I didn't catch that until I was reviewing my confirmation. I repurchased my tickets and thought a refund would be no problem, BUT I was wring. Apparently there are "policies" if you are not Fandango VIP customer. I couldn't get my original purchase refunded. Why would ANYONE want to be a VIP to some Sicky service? I will dispute these charges with my bank which WILL be reversed and will NEVER buy tickets through Fandango. Please, future guests/customers, avoid this service and save yourself time and frustration.

My movie was cancelled because of a power blackout. I contacted Fandango to get a refund and got a stock negative response about not offering refunds after movie times. They obviously could not be bothered to contact the theater to verify what happened. Normally if I buy a service through a third party in exchange I expect extra service, but in this case I got less. Really not acceptable.

I just finished a conversation with them. They insist their benefit on the printed ticket, which says no refund or exchange after the showtime; while I questioned why they didn't send me the confirmation email as is promised on the ticket, I get the following answer: "How can we prove this? It's your email!" Well, I can't prove it either. Join me if you have the same problem.
