Back in April we ordered a pool heater, a solar cover, and a pool light. I guess we were lucky, because at least the heater and the solar cover arrived. We never received the pool light. I have have called, (at first they answered) and emailed. Now they never answer and they send emails back saying they are looking into it, but never reply. Very frustrated. I want my $200.00 back! Don't take a chance on this company! Order from a place where you can call and talk to a person so you know if there is a problem you can talk to someone and get it worked out.

A master class in bad customer service. Jay and his partner/brother Jeff operate Backer Wencel Incorporated. This holding company operates familypoolfun, familygokarts, and some Lucas Oil distribution derivative. In addition to these web properties, they offer "e-logistic" services (insert irony here) and dabble in private equity lending?! (where is your refund monies?) *helpful hint for those seeking something do to make the sting of being marginalised away. Jeff Backer is a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives....He is also up for reelection this year. Pro tip - sending emails to the various MN House entities charged with member ethics oversight is just a google away.... My pool saga. Ordered pool May 27th. Confirmed with Andrea during "confirmation" call that the pool was in stock (pro tip #2 - they stock nothing). One week later I receive an email stated that their pool distributor missed a delivery from the manufacturer. New ETA, 1st week of July (red flag #1 - I was bcc'd on the email) This was a form letter to presumably everyone that order a pool from that given manufacturer/distributor. I suspect everyone received that email. Ok fine. The combination of Covid supply chain disruptions and the fact this is a "luxury" item quelled my annoyance. Two days before the end of the 1st week of July where one would have expected a shipping notification..nothing. I proceeded to use the given channels of recourse only to be ignored. I turned to the interwebs and found the relationships that I mentioned in the beginning and contacting Jay and copying everyone that had some skin in the game..... I received a reply in 7 minutes...... I respectfully asked for a full refund and Jay kept replying with "are you sure you want to cancel?" to which I confirmed each time of the 3 times he asked. The really messed up thing is that I one of the responses he quipped, "your pool will go to another family that is waiting".... I found this tragically funny and confirmed to me his God fearing manner is a weakly clad facade. Long story longer I disputed the charge with my CC company and order a pool from thepoolfactory on July 9th. I received it on July 20th. It was easy. They picked the phone up on the 2nd ring when I wanted to confirm they had the unit in stock. (pro tip #3 - they have stock, in a warehouse, on their property) best of luck to all those unfortunate enough to have had to deal with this company..... email is your friend, squeaky wheel.....

I would give this place a negative 10 if I could! I ordered a new pool ladder on June 16th and was told 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. It's been 6 weeks. I've sent numerous emails, called and I only get computer generated replies saying if I haven't received my product to wait a few days. They charged my card a week after I ordered. Now I can't get a refund! Don't buy from this place! They are scamming people! Worst customer service EVER! I'm considering filing a police report if I don't get a refund

Once again I am giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option! I’d love to be able to do a follow up at some point about my pool, if in fact I ever receive one! I ordered back on May 2 and was told it would be 3 weeks for fulfillment. I began emails about weekly after that with delayed responses that weren’t very informative. When I mentioned canceling it has always been “Well that’s fine. Just let me know because they are plenty of other families waiting on a pool!” The last communication I received was back on July 7th. The email stated I should receive my pool between July17-23. Those dates came and went of course with still no pool or update of any kind. I have sent an email to Jay every day this past week and have received nothing in return. I wish if they don’t have any pools they would just at least be honest and stop selling them giving 3-4 weeks as the fulfillment date. Other companies are saying they are out of stock! Why does family pool fun keep trying to convince us we’ll get a pool within a few weeks? I will write a follow up review, if I ever receive my order and am satisfied, but for now I would say run far away from this company, unless you want to waste your money on a product you won’t receive and endure the frustration of trying to communicate with a company that obviously has no interest in customer satisfaction! Worst customer service EVER!!!

If I could give a negative rating I would. Their customer service is atrocious. How do I start. Waited patiently for my pool. Got the pool and the upgraded liner I paid for was too small and pulled one wall. I was already fed up with their lack of customer but I emailed them and Jay told me to email photos to service department did that no response and after 3 days i went to liner company and paid $500.00 for a new liner. In addition to that I never received the light I paid for. Emailed Jay told him the no one responded to which he replied the exact same thing. Okay now Im mad. I paid 89.00 for a liner that did not fit. 90.00 for a light i did not get. Had to pay the pool guys twice to set up my pool. Oh and if course no response to my last 2 emails. They block any negative reviews from their sight also. They need to be investigated and I am about to file a police report for theft ..

As many others have said...DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I ordered a pool in the middle of June. They will try to keep making you believe they actually have a pool when the reality is they do not. I would call and email, they might respond a week later saying "oh your pool is getting ready to ship." When you ask them for a shipping date and/or order, they do not have one. They email later saying "do you want your pool or should I just give it to another family?" In other words should they rob another family? They were quick to accept my payment. After going through this for a month and a half, I contacted my credit card company. They tried to reach out to them too and they did not respond to them. No surprise there. Needless to say, my credit card refunded me the full amount. I am considering making a legal complaint to their local authority because this is a SCAM and they are trying to steal money by selling a pretend pool.

Everyone on here save yourself all kinds of time and don’t order here. Ordered 2 months ago, money came out of my account a month ago, and no shipping information until today when I told them I either wanted it shipped now or my 2,500$ back! Spend the extra $500-$1000 and go somewhere you can take it home that day!! It’ll be next summer before you get the freaking thing. And don’t expect any return communication, they wouldn’t answer my calls, emails, voicemails, and the one time I did talk to a woman to “confirm my shipping details” over a month ago she was rude as can be! Go somewhere else!

These people are scammers .. if this is how you run a company it’s not right.I ordered a pool in early June 2020, and Have not received it! It’s now July 21st! I have emailed the company and called and left messages...then I emailed Jay, (Owner), on the 16th of July and told him if I didn’t here from them in the next two, or three days I would consider canceling my order. He then responded by sending me an email the next morning. He said, “don’t worry about the pool, I canceled your order at your request.” I never said I was firm on the cancellation! He took the easy way out. And my credit card was charged for the full pop back in JUNE! With no pool! I contacted Leslies pools , Seacard pools, and the pool warehouse, and all those merchants are out of stock. They also are much bigger Suppliers than Jay will ever be ! Jay said just a few weeks to receive a pool we never received because he still doesn’t have the order put thru with his distributor. How can his website still offer this to families knowing that he can’t provide The merchandise? And then charge my account? This company isn’t save to trust!! I now wouldn’t buy a box of toothpicks from them. When I looked this company On BBB they have many complaints with the BBB Establishment...it’s unbelievable. God Bless you JAY! You’re going to need it!
