I'm absolutely amazed, it did take me several practice sessions, but one I got it down all was easy and customer service was very helpful and stayed on top of making sure my pd glasses issue was resolved. This has been a great experience so far.

Getting closer to being satisfied
Third Update: Performed additional tests. It does take some getting used to. Helps to have prior prescriptions as a guide. I am satisfied, and would recommend.
Second Update: Apparently, vision tests are rolled together to come up with an Eyeglasses Number. That makes sense, as there can be some variance in time of day, etc. And if the numbers are really low (cylinder and axis), they may not be reflected in the test glasses. I still don't understand, however, how a high axis number in one eye can switch to the other eye in a subsequent test. Even if the number changes somewhat, it wouldn't switch eyes.
Update: Try-on glasses received, but don't seem right. I retested and ordered again. But then I noticed something strange. After the vision test (and revealing of numbers), there is a place to click on to See Vision Test Results. I entered that area and notice the numbers are different...for the very same test. Further, the numbers in the main account area are not the Vision Test Results numbers, so any order will not be using what I believe are my correct numbers. The Eyeglass Numbers show a 171 right eye axis (15 for left). The Vision Test Results show a 157 left eye axis (0 for right) (older prescriptions show this higher number as well, in the left eye, rather than the right eye). I haven't been able to reach anyone to check this out. Maybe there is a software glitch?
I am trying to wear the try on pair I just received. I noticed there were blanks in the accompanying paperwork for one eye for cylinder and axis, so I don't know if that means the lens for that eye doesn't reflect that information or what. I have reached out and am waiting to hear. I purchased the whole package. I really like the idea and hope this will work for me. The refraction numbers look reasonable when compared to my last couple of prescriptions. At this time I cannot tell if my eyes just need to adjust, or if the lenses are not correct.

Appeal to the eyes
I have been a patron of Eyeque for many years and when I received their ordered packages I just put them on a shelf and forgot about them for about 3yrs. When I retrieved them I hadn't realized there was a time limit on the use of the eye pieces and the cloud "kicked" me out. I found a recent Eyeque e-mail for product and services and sent them a description of my predicament. The response was as fast as the next day from customer service. The team had found my original orders and with some input on my part we have now set up a new year long cloud account. And according to the prescription; just in a nick of time. Hoo-ra for a caring customer service team and a great company.

Results indicated that I am slightly…
Results indicated that I am slightly nearsighted in one eye and slightly farsighted in the other, which is apparently pretty rare and should probably be corrected professionally. The try on glasses did slightly improve my distance vision but not close up. I think I would've been more satisfied if they were progressive or bifocal lenses since I had the best results wearing the try on glasses and my readers at the same time.

Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for your feedback. The EyeGlass Numbers (EGN) that your try-ons were created with are for distance vision only. We do not physically measure for reading distance. I am happy to take your feedback to our dev team for consideration for future updates/products.

Great Functionality, Disingenuous and Pointless DRM
Pros: The app works very well when used right, and greatly helped me resolve conflicting IPD measurements. The measurements were quick and easy to make, provided I took care to look far away while taking the measurement and manually adjusted the position of the markers and pupils.
Cons: The presence of serial numbers on the IPD measurement frames and mandatory registration is anti consumer and promotes throwing away the IPD frames once you have already used them, when they could be otherwise reused indefinitely between many different users. This is the type of practice that honestly should be banned.
