This hotel is poor! It is trashy. The staff is very rude. Their WiFi doesn't work. There are rats walking around. I had to fix the toilet that was clogged too and the room stunk when we first showed up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone!

Terrible
Dirty room, stench of stale cigarettes and marijuana. A lot of people running around and yelling at night. Found brown spots on the bed sheets. Best of all the iron was broken. Water spilling everywhere. After waiting for 10 minutes for assistance "Tee" came to the front desk and said "I don't know even where we keep them so I can't do nothing about that". When I asked to have a house keeper bring one from another room she told me that she "didn't wanna tag the room dirty". Then she said she could ask her manager what to do but she had to text her. Her manager called back and I could hear the two of them discussing my request over the phone. The manager sounded more confused and put out than "Tee".
If you're looking for customer service, a clean hotel or a good night's sleep you need to look somewhere else.
Seriously: do not stay here. Spend your money somewhere else.

They say on their booking site that…
They say on their booking site that they offer free WiFi but that only consists of email viewing and basic browsing. What they don't tell you is that they charge you $5 an hour to get faster internet and to be able to use the internet more than email and basic browsing. I reserved my room hours in advance to arriving and upon going into my room, it was stupid. One pillow, No lock for the door and the television is slanted and broke pointing to the ground and the remote is broken and the phone in the room when I tried to call about the room, all it does is beep, beep, beep, beep. And when I went 3 floors down to the office to complain, she took me to her last room to see if it was better. It had not even been cleaned and there was no pillows in that room anyway. They need to change the batteries on the doors because you are constantly going back down three floors to office just to get the card re-keyed. I rate this specific motel as a 1.

Don’t stay here. This place sucks.
This place sucks. I have been here a month and my room has yet to be cleaned!!! I had to go out and buy my own cleaning supplies and then when I inquired about why I haven’t had cleaning they wanted to charge me 10$ for the service!!! 💩 Their advertising states they have no cleaning fees or deposits yet I was charged a 100$ deposit and they wanted to charge me to have my room clean after a month of booking this room and not one cleaning done.

I made a reservation for August…
I made a reservation for August 18,2020. An employee at the hotel ran my card without my authorization, and prior to my arrival. I contacted the Extended Stay at 10060 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060, which was were the reservation was made, to inquire why was my was card ran without my consent. The employee gave no explanation and stated that she was canceling my reservation. I asked for a reason for the cancellation, no reason given. Once I arrived to the hotel, for my check-in the employee informed me that the reservation was cancelled. (This was the same person that I had spoken to on the phone who threat to cancel my reservation). This employee had no uniform or name tag identification. I asked for her name, she said “Sam”. No manager contacted me on this matter. I made another reservation, while I was in the lobby. The employee, Sam refused to honor my reservation, no reason given. I asked to speak with a manger; the Sam stated no manager was available. I asked for the phone number to the corporate office, Sam said look it up on my phone. I asked for the business cards of the manager and general manager. Sam replied that she didn’t have any business cards. I asked Sam for her last name or initial, she refused to give me her last name or initial. “Sam” said, “you have 10 minutes to get off the premises or she will call the police “.
Is this how Extended Stay operates their business? Is this how Extended Stay of American treats their guest? Is it the policy to run a guest card without authorization from the guest? Is it Extended Stay standards to threaten guests with calling the police without just cause?

Terrible Experience
I stayed at the Extended Stay America in Roseville, Ca. on August 8th and it was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. When I was checking in I was helped by Debra(the best part of the hotel), she received a call from a room that asked if someone had been in their room because someone had come in and left right away while they were there.I should have left then! Debra asked me to call her to let her know if the microwave and AC worked, when I tried to call her the phone did not work. As I went through the lobby I told her that the phone did not work so I could not call her, a man there said well you have to pay for all calls anyway. After explaining to him why I was trying to call her he did something on his phone and said your phone is now turned on when I went back to the room it was not working! They advertise full kitchen, all cabinets were bare, you have to ask at the desk if you need any dishes etc. They told me that the coffee makers were in the sanitizer and would bring one down when done, never received it. There were no wash clothes in the bathroom also no toilet seat cover! Chairs in the room had stains on them (I don't want to think about what it was). We saw several drug buys and people using drugs on the property along with a couple "working girls" in the parking lot. Most of the people on the grounds and in and out of the Hotel looked pretty sketchy. I am not one to judge people by their appearance but these were not good. The hotel does allow dogs and there was dog piles every where including the sidewalk walking into the lobby, it was very hard to find a spot for my dog with all the old piles everywhere. I realize the Hotel is old but they do need to do some work on this particular one. I really do not plan to stay at any Extended Stay America again after this experience, sorry!

Run away from Extended Stay America Hwy 55 NC Durham…
Extended Stay America Hwy 55 NC Durham NC is the WORST place I’ve ever booked. I arrived at 7 PM with my special needs son and upon pulling into the parking lot knew it was a mistake. The lot was littered with cigarette butts and trash cans running over. People were hanging out in the parking lot and in front of doors openly drinking alcohol. Front desk was courteous enough but that was the extent of it. My room smelled horrible! The carpets felt sticky and dirty. There was no way I was staying in this nasty room after my sons corneal transplant! I felt completely unsafe here. I was here maybe 20 minutes, took my door key to the front desk and checked out! Of course no offers were made for a refund and in fact they refused that because I “checked in”! By the way this place is set up like a motel. All doors to your room are outside entry. I couldn’t leave quick enough. I felt safer in my car across the street at McDonald’s waiting while my family found us another hotel. My sister booked this room for me since she travels a lot but this one blindsided is!
