Booked a hypoallergenic room and found clumps of dog hair rolling across the floor of the room when we entered. When we informed them they said we could check another room. That room also had dog hair on the floor and had one single bed for three people. We were promised a full refund by the manager before we left that hotel to try find another one on the fly. The front desk informed us before we left that for future reference this was an animal hotel. So much for hypoallergenic. We spoke to the Extended Stay Customer Relations four times always with a promise to get a reply within 48 hours. Never got a reply. Called the hotel three times during normal business hours and the front desk said the manager was not working that day or manager not available. But with a promise each time of the hotel contacting us within 48 hours. Running a hotel without a manager? Never got a response. Starting to see a trend here. Now seven weeks later we have no response from any party. We called today and Extended Stay CSR said that they emailed the hotel and their District Manager a number of times and never got a reply from either. They will contact us within 48 hours. Again. There is that pesky 48 hours. Again. HORRIBLE experience.

BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE!! This place is an ABSOLUTE SCAM! I booked a room for 7 days to benefit a young lady who was kicked out of her family home. Two days later, we were able to locate a shelter that would accept her, so we checked her out. Upon receiving what I believed to be a partial refund, no folio was ever provided, I was told that we were charged a “re-rate” because we had checked out early and did not stay the entire 7 days! There’s NO WAY in hell I would pay the exorbitant rate that these folks charged me per day to stay at this “hotel”. I could’ve booked the damn Peabody for that rate! What’s worse is that NOTHING was evident that such “re-rate” action was even possible as we were booking the room. It’s a SCAM, and if this is how business is conducted it should be VERBALLY EXPRESSED to the guest upon arrival…NOT reportedly buried in some policy which I don’t see. Not only will I NEVER book at this chain again, I will make sure that everyone I speak to about booking rooms NEVER considers this SCAM of a “business” ever again!

Bed Bug - Worst Experience Ever
I was a first time visitor to the State of Rhode Island. Reservations were made at the Extended Stay America hotel on June 14th, for a 2 night stay during Fathers' Day weekend. We had a very late check in on Friday night. We went straight to our room and crashed. About 30 minutes later, I was awaken due to itching on my left hand and arm. I discovered red marks on my arm and hand. I was bit up and assumed it was by a bed bug. I immediately reported the incident to the staff member on duty named Ericka. I showed her my arms and hand. Ericka instructed me to bring the linen from the bed for an exchange. I asked Ericka if I could be moved to another room and she indicated that there were no available rooms to make the switch. I went back to my room (319) to grab the linen and at that time, i discovered a bed bug crawling on the pillow case. I took a video of the bed bug, photos of my hand and arm immediately after that. I took the linen to the front desk, showed the bedbug to Erica and handed it to her smashed on the pillow case, as evidence of the bed bug.. We could not sleep and i had to leave the lights on becuae I was petrified. The following morning, I spoke with the staff member Kalaya or Shalaya, was her name. She reviewed the video and said "yes that's a bed bug." She apologized and said she had an experience with them when she was younger. I told her that I was not sure it was a bed bug because I had never seen them before. She issued a refund for my reservation for June 15th, and indicated that their pest control company would have to inspect the bed and based on their findings I may or may not receive a refund, for my prior night stay. I provided the video to her of the bed bug crawling on the pillow case, in addition to photo's of my swollen hand and bruised arm, to forward to the manager. The refund was denied due to my claim not having any evidence of a bed bug and the photos were not clear. Management does not take their guest feedback or unpleasant experience or concerns seriously. Avoid this franchise if possible.

Extended StayAmerica, where the Care isn’t there!
### Social Media Post Against Extended Stay America, Fort Lauderdale Tamarac
Extended Stay America claims on their website that it’s "where the care is always there." Let me tell you, that’s a blatant lie. My recent stay at their Fort Lauderdale Tamarac location from 5/13-5/14 was an absolute nightmare, and I need your help to get justice and spread the word.
I paid with my credit card to avoid a security deposit, but they charged me one anyway. The internet wasn’t working, and at midnight, both my room keys failed. I was locked out, and the late-night service phone didn’t work. There was no one in the office. I called the 800 number multiple times and was finally let back in after 1 AM!
The next day, I tried to extend my stay through Priceline but faced issues. Although the front desk granted me a late checkout, my new reservation didn’t get completed until after 12:30 PM due to problems with Priceline. The General Manager publicly confronted me from a balcony about my reservation and a pet deposit I knew nothing about. It was humiliating. They banged on my door, demanding another $100 incidental fee and a pet fee. The $100 I had already paid was refunded, taking 3-5 business days, instead of being used for my next stay.
To make matters worse, after banging on my door and demanding I come to the office to pay the $100 security deposit and pet deposit, they proceeded to call the room phone and my cell phone while I was on the phone with a customer resolution team. Yes, this entire ordeal happened while I was on the phone with the customer resolution team, stressed beyond belief.
Extended Stay America, you took my deposit and refunded it, knowing it would be tied up instead of using it for the new reservation I told you was on the way. I couldn’t come up with another $100 because I had already given you $100, leaving my room with all of my things and my animals at risk. When I finally managed to provide the paid-for reservation through Priceline and come up with the additional funds, you refused to allow me to stay. I was placed outside in 90-degree weather with a cat and a dog because the manager didn’t like the way I was handling it with customer service.
This situation was handled in an embarrassing, unprofessional, and degrading way. If this is how they treat their customers, I highly suggest nobody come here. They will tell you I was issued a refund through Priceline, but that refund won’t come for at least 24 hours. So essentially, I paid for the hotel room, they tied up $100 for my security deposit, and now I’m out that money and cannot get another hotel room. They knew this when they put me out on the sidewalk and didn’t care, standing behind "company policy."
I'm reaching out to any attorneys who might be able to offer legal advice on how to proceed. If you've had a similar bad experience with Extended Stay America, please share your story and spread the word. Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Extended Stay America claims on their website that it’s "where the care is always there." This is clearly not true. #ExtendedStayAmerica #WorstHotelExperience #CustomerServiceFail #LegalAdviceNeeded #ShareYourStory

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
This Extended Stay was a complete nightmare!! The room was disgusting, the whole entire place was disgusting. I was nauseated the entire time that we were there. We did NOT feel safe at this hotel!!! They left a note under our door saying that they were going to do a mandatory check of the a/c in our room at 9am on Sunday, but they didn't show up until around 2pm. My son had fallen asleep, and I was trying to fall asleep.
We checked out early, and my son turned in our hotel key/cards. I just talked with a manager and because my son didn't ask to cancel our reservation, they completely refuse to refund us any money. I had the reservation from Friday, May 10th- Friday, May 17th. We are homeless and I don't have any money to buy food at all. And the jerk manager at this hotel refuses to give me any refund at all. Not only that, but he also claims that if we'd "officially" checked out on Monday morning, then we'd owe them $800 because of Texas Tech's graduation. We checked out on Monday, after the graduation. I've just emailed my lawyers about this. The corporate office is giving me the same run around.
I'm sure that they don't believe me when I say that I contacted my lawyers. The law firm is Ross and Matthew in Fort Worth, Texas. When y'all hear from them, then you'll believe me.

I stayed at the extended stay elmsford…
I stayed at the extended stay elmsford for 6 months with my 6 kids and partner during my stay the Superviors AMANDA begin a very sexual relationship with my partner. This have caused so much emotional disfunction in my home my kids are father less. My kids are crying for him every night they don’t know how to process or accept this! Amanda as supervisor is trained to enforced policy well she didn’t imply them to herself. She deserves to be disciplined to the full extent

We booked the hotel through Hotels.com
We booked the hotel through Hotels.com. The only reason we booked was because it had an indoor pool and it was my daughter’s spring break. Upon arriving, we were told the pool was closed for renovation. They told us we would have to get our refund through Hotels.com. I spent multiple hours and three days back-and-forth with Hotels.com to find out that it was actually the hotel that needed to Give a refund so we could change hotels and find a new pool. The hotel manager would not speak to me or return my calls after calling five times and then I reached out to the district manager. After reaching out to the district manager four days in a row, she also would not return my phone call . I was not able to get a refund and ended up having to stay there regardless. The entire hotel smelled of marijuana and you could never find anybody working there. There was no free breakfast because no one was stocking it each morning and we were woke up two of the three days by hammering and saws because apparently the entire floor that we were staying I was being renovated and nobody bothered to tell us. It was one of the worst hotel I have ever had and there is zero customer service, and nobody will make it right Once they have your money.
