Evernorth owns WellCare Prescription Drug company, a PartD supplier of medication for seniors and the disabled. It’s wiser to use your local pharmacy, than to rely on the mail order system they provide. You won’t get your prescription processed in a timely manner, especially if it labeled “controlled substance.” They will hold the prescription for 8 days without letting you know. If your doctor does an electronic Rx for a certain day, they’re going to hold it for a week or more, before it processes. Best to stick with the local pharmacy, not rely on them for mail delivery. I filed a Medicare complaint with the supervisor on the line. I should hear back in 30 days.

I would not possibly be able to write all the issues I have had with this company. All I'm going to stay is RUNNNNN! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Nothing but headache's and not great deal. Rude, completely unorganized, no one knows what is going on. I've called 8 times for the same issue and it's still not resolved. I will NEVER use them again, even if they give me my meds for free.

They refused to fill some of my prescriptions even though I have been on the meds and dosages for years with no issue.( "They dont fill comfortable filling" )
Then they changed their filling requirements on meds ( 35+ days only ) Mine cannot be filled for more than 30 days and that effectively stopped me from appealing their first hurdle. I still don't see how they can legally refuse a doctor's prescription especially when I can show a 20+ year history of taking the meds.

Express Scripts is anything but express…
Express Scripts is anything but express and they play games with your critical prescriptions.
I have ordered prescriptions from them for the past few years and it always takes almost 2 weeks from ordering to when it arrives at your door. If you are going to work with them, know that you need to order with enough buffer. They have an auto refill that is scheduled to send in order to cover their 2 weeks, but they problem is that my doctor has updated my prescription because I am also taking another med that reduces my usage of my prescription and they never update it and so they send my prescriptions way before they run out and I end up stockpiling, so I set it on manual.
In another case, while I cannot prove it, they purposely dragged my prescription into the next year and I lost my HSA deductible that would have covered it and had to pay for it out of my HSA funds again. This is after my doctor sent the information they required 4 times before they finally accepted it. There was no change in the info in what my doctor sent, it was the same thing 4 times, but why would it magically get accepted when the new year rolled over? I constantly get emails and phone calls from them to join their Omada program, almost to the point of harassment. At one point, they told me I could not get my prescription unless I joined it. I told them I would go elsewhere and my doctor changed my prescription to something else that was just as effective and cheaper and a different pharmacy.
In short, they guys are slow to deliver, give you the run around on customer service, and play games. I am going to work on moving my other prescriptions to a different pharmacy. I'd rather pay a little more than to deal with these guys.

Shut my account down
After my experience with Express Scripts, I looked at customer reviews to see if others were having similar problems. What I found was discouraging.
The overwhelming customer consensus is poor. The same complaints appear repeatedly: prescription delivery delays, unresponsive customer service, frustrating prior authorization hurdles, poor communication, and medications not arriving when needed. These concerns are reflected across major consumer review platforms, where Express Scripts consistently receives very low customer ratings.
The volume and consistency of negative reviews suggest these are not isolated incidents.

I would give them less than 1 star if possible.
My review of of Express Scripts is overwhelmingly poor to absolutely terrible. Stay away...realy.
They do not keep up with prescriptions from our doctors. They always say no refills even if we still have some left. They constantly give us trouble with EVERY prescription. When we call they insist on giving us a runaround saying we have to call our doctor even if we just checked with them and the prescription was faxed in days ago. They fill a prescription after all the trouble only to change the price to something OUTRAGEOUS.

Worst insurance for prescriptions ever!
They don’t even deserve a single star! I’ve been trying since March to get a prescription filled. They claim my doctors office never sent prior authorization but my Doctors office said they have several times over THE LAST THREE MONTHS!
Worst company ever!
