I was on the phone for 45 minutes with someone who did not know what an epi-pen was, and repeatedly gave me different reasons the Rx wouldn’t be approved. None of them made sense or aligned with the language of my actual policy benefits. They said the medication was no longer covered. Epinephrine!! I said do you mean the brand. Then, We’d go through the whole thing again and she’d say it was about pre authorization. It was madness. She was just reading different canned answers. I went to back to the pharmacy and they figured it out. It was none of the reasons I was given. For shame. This is my kid’s life saving medication. I will be contacting my HR department to urge them to switch companies. Over 3,000 employees. It’s like they are racing to the bottom as fast as they can.

Nothing Express or Good About It
They have been the worst. Every single time I am FORCED to switch to them because of their 3-month supply rule or whatever excuse they use to hold my prescriptions hostage, they mess up my dosing schedule because it takes them weeks to send the medication. And some meds that were previously free at my local pharmacy now cost hundreds of dollars per year because they don’t have the discount programs. They also don’t understand a 28-day supply of medication vs. a 30-day supply (month supply) and wouldn't refill my script because it was 6 days too early (simple math), so it's a pharmacy that can't do the math for a correct dosing schedule. THE WORST

Evernorth rebranding made Express Scripts horrible
Express Scripts used to be such a wonderful place to get prescriptions. They were always quick to ship and I never had any problems. Then they got rebranded under Evernorth. Now there are huge delays, poor customer service and constant frustration trying to get prescriptions that I need. These prescriptions are prescribed by my doctor and approved by my insurance and it still causes delays. I am starting to question whether the cost savings is really worth the anxiety of running out of a medication that I desperately need.

Responsive
I had an issue with moving a prescription from a local pharmacy to Express Scripts. They weren’t the problem - my physician hadn’t submitted the requested info. They moved very quickly to get me my meds. I have four prescriptions with them and they arrive on time every quarter. They text me updates along the way.

Their services sucks
Their services sucks! Where do I begin? Today I wasted over 30 min trying to get a prescription filled "because they couldn't reach my physician" to verify why they prescribed it. My physician knows my medical history and has previously prescribed this medication and express scripts has filled it before. Of course 1+ weeks later I was informed they weren't going to fill it.
In April, I had a huge issue. I take warfarin, which is a blood thinner. Sometimes the dose has to be adjusted. Because of this, a 90 day supply for me is 100 pills, because 2days of the week I take a pill and a half. My physician wrote this on the prescription with my normal dosing schedule. I was scheduled to go on vacation in late May. I thought 3 weeks was plenty of time to get that before a 7 hour flight. WRONG! I was informed 2 days before I was leaving they couldn't fill it because they couldn't get a hold of my doctor to verify the dose (which, by the way, I have been on the same dosing schedule for at least 3 years, maybe more). Fortunately (or so I thought) I had a visit with my PCP in the am of my departure. Thinking I could have them do a 14 day script to get me thru vacation and give me time to address this with express scripts.the retail pharmacy wouldn't fill it because they saw the script was still at express scripts. So I lost $400 on my flight because I couldn't get this refilled and didn't want to risk getting a blood clot from flying. It took my doctor's office several attempts to speak to a supervisor from Express scripts to point out how express scripts couldn't read the instructions sent by my physician and blamed it all on my doctor. When my doctor asked that they overnight the order to me because I had 0 pills left they refused and said it would go through their normal processing procedures.
On the flip side, I have had NUMEROUS prescriptions that have been filled too early and are not on auto refill. For example, I see some doctors every 6 months. To make sure I always have refills, they renew the script every time I see them, usually with 3 90 day prescriptions. So when this happens, I get a 90 day order sent, even though I had just got a 90 day supply a couple of weeks prior. I currently have over a 6 month supply of 4 medications. I have brought this to their attention repeatedly, and it still keeps happening
Every time I sign in to the app, I am pressured to change everything to autofill. No thanks! Until they figure out how to run their business and coming up with excuses I may be taking my business elsewhere, although I may be limited by my health plan where I can go.
If they can't get simple math right, should I be trusting to get my medications correct????

They are more hassle than its worth. They managed to make home delivery harder than just going to the pharmacy.
Any time I call to ask even the smallest question about my prescription they say it was canceled because of my doctor not replying to their calls. This is literally untrue and my doctors office did everything they could, including calling them while having me on the other line, then merging the calls. Thats the only thing that gets them to stop spouting that bs and temporarily fix the issue.
They then never fixed it in their system so now no matter when I call, I have to deal with them telling me this situation is happening all over again, when in reality its an issue they created and never adjusted in their own system.
I don't understand how they are so incompetent. I feel bad for saying that because its not the fault the people answering the phones. Its the company thats the issue.

Really terrible on very basic communication
Really terrible. Remarkably awful.
If there's a delay in filling a prescription, they don't tell you.
If you call to have a prescription delayed because you don't need it yet (1 of my prescriptions I'm supposed to take 3x/day and there are a lot of days I miss 1x so I use less than a 90-day supply in 90 days), you talk with the phone rep, they say it's going to happen, but no, it's like I never made the call at all. This has happened 2x/row with me with 2 different prescriptions.
And good luck if you ever try to find out the cost of something in advance.
Also, they sent me an email saying the drug that I had delayed for 3 months was going to ship on time, 3 months earlier than the delay I asked for. I replied back by email.
Nowhere in the email address were the words "no-reply" indicating it was an email address that isn't monitored. I replied 3x to that email. I never received an auto-reply saying it's not monitored, Now, when on the phone with the rep about this issue, I see way down at the bottom of the email below a bunch of graphics in small gray letters "don't reply to this email."
WHY don't they follow basic common practices of other companies to make sure people don't reply to unmonitored email addresses??? It's easy enough to fix, but they can't be bothered.

Their new rule is not to fill home…
Their new rule is not to fill home delivery for less than 35 days but all of mine were for 90 days and always have been with them but they deleted them and told me to resubmit them to all of my Doctors and now I will have to wait a week or more for the ones that I do not have and need
