The filters are probably good, but it's just become too expensive. I don't want a subscription because my use is irregular and I have way too many subscriptions.
I took your survey hoping to get a little money off but couldn't access the coupon or whatever it was.

I have submitted my dissatisfaction…
I have submitted my dissatisfaction with the lid of the pitcher…it leaks. When I pour water, I have to, tightly, hold the lid down to prevent water spilling out onto the counter and floor. This is awkward and unnecessary because of the size of the pitcher and how much water it holds. I’m considering investing in a different water purifier system because of this issue. To date, no one in the company has addressed this. Very disappointing.

I'm really sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having with your pitcher lid, especially since you've already reached out and haven't received the assistance you needed. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case, and regardless, I understand how inconvenient it is to have to hold the lid while pouring. Can I ask if you're pouring while there's still water in the upper reservoir, or if this is happening even after all the water has filtered through?
Our pitcher is designed to be poured from once the upper reservoir has emptied. However, the lid isn't designed to form an immovable seal, so we do recommend keeping a hand on it when tilting the pitcher significantly, as the weight of the water and wet filter can cause the lid to shift outward slightly.
If you're willing, please send us an email at [email protected] with the word "agent" in your message. We'd appreciate the opportunity to look further into this issue and see about getting you a replacement lid if yours is particularly loose, even when pouring with an empty upper reservoir.

Some filters come damaged because they stopped shipping them in boxes, only bags and when I requested an additional one they made it so hard I never got one

I'm so sorry about this Tabitha! I'm going to share the email you provided here with our head of customer service so this can be reviewed over. Is the email you have attached to Trustpilot here the one you used to contact our support team with? Can you expand on the damage that happened to the filter cartridge?

Company person was unable to use…
Company person was unable to use telephone, or email to give me more info that I needed, The arrival of my "order" of one filter (more to be sent later)
was yesterday, had no knowledge of date to expect the order, almost missed it on my doorfront, I may have ordered the wrong filter, as this one has dark insides bristles, and the ones I use were completely white, I will use what I have, but have not yet decided if the water filtered by the dark insides are potable for me or not, it may be a jug or two before I get to the new filtered one, And then I have to deal with the subsequent 2 filters due to be sent on your schedule, not mine. I am 85 and you have complicated ordering to the point I don't know how,
Response from epicwaterfilters.comOct 5, 2026
Hi, did you have a lot of replacement filters stocked up? What filter exactly are you using? About two years ago, we upgraded the pleated media in our filters. The pleated media is essentially the same, but the gray media has carbon in it, adding to its performance versus the older white pleated media.
For orders, you should receive an email with a link you can use to track your shipment.
From what you're describing, it also sounds like you may have a subscription with two more filters scheduled to be sent. If that's the case, you can go to our website, click the person icon in the upper right corner, log in, and from there either end your subscription or change the frequency at which you receive filters.
Or, if you'd like, you can reach out to our customer support team at [email protected]. They can end or adjust your subscription for you if you ask them to. If you use the same email associated with your account, they should be able to do this relatively easily without much additional information. Please include the word "agent" in your email to get through to one of our representatives faster! I'm sorry for the difficulties you've been experiencing with getting answers from us.

Made in US but new filter rollout problematic
I have been in this company for about 3 years.
Their filters seem really good, but they have recently had a huge rollout featuring a filter that inserts into reusable housing.
My first experience with it I turned the filter housing on its side to try to thread and screw it into the dispenser, apparently dislodging the filter— it is held up on the top of the housing by two little rubber bands—a little to the side.
It’s supposed to sit on little side-slits ton the bottom to keep it straight but that didn’t work.
After running two dispensers of water through, I had my first taste… of our usual chlorinated-to-heck, fluoridated swamp water we have here in western OR.
I was panicked and thinking I had to go get an emergency Britain’s filter until I could figure out what to do.
After troubleshooting I discovered the filter hanging from the little rubber bands off to the side.
I jury-rigged a homemade solution by putting a plastic lid in the bottom to keep the filter in place snugged to the top so tap water wouldn’t leak in.
Not sure if I will stay with this company unfortunately.
They brushed off my complaint and pictures and video I sent explaining the sitch. They did send a new filter but that doesn’t solve the essential problems of a flawed design.
I hope the company can pivot and solve this problem, because I have a hard time believing I am the only one this has happened to. They are made in the USA.
Response from epicwaterfilters.comOct 5, 2026
Hi Shannon, I'm so sorry your pictures and videos were not taken seriously. I would like to help troubleshoot, though I am a little confused. The rib supports at the bottom create very little tolerance for the filter to be able to slip out of place when the encasement is fully screwed shut.
One thing we should absolutely mention more often is that when assembling the cartridge into its casing, it is best to insert the inner filter cartridge into the encasement's top cap first. Only after it is pressed in should you tightly screw the encasement's top cap and body together.
I really hope this helps with troubleshooting. If not, I will make sure to get ahold of those pictures and videos so I can give you a more detailed response based on them, and thoroughly explore how your filter could possibly be coming out of place within the encasement. I'm so sorry about the trouble you are experiencing and that we did not give you the explanations and help you needed through our customer support.

Frustrating
It was very frustrating to try and get past the AI response to my query about getting the new adapter that I needed for the filters to work with the older pitcher design. It took several emails and they still got my information wrong.
Response from epicwaterfilters.comOct 5, 2026
Hi Denise, our new XP Pitcher filters fit our pitchers the same as our old pitcher filters. The only thing is, the first time you purchase an XP Pitcher filter, you will need to buy the encased version, and then you can purchase just the inner cartridge for further replacements. I'm sorry that our automated replies to questions were unhelpful and that one of our representatives did not step in quickly enough. Just to help in the future, saying you need an "agent" in your email helps flag our representatives quickly. Please let me know if I can help you further in any way. I apologize for the experience you had with our automated replies to common questions.

Filter didn’t last as long as they say
The filter would pretty much quit draining after 35-40 days. It was getting to be more of a pain than it was worth.
