The Creative Director Course with Jon Elsom@McCann was fantastic. There were great guest speakers and you got a real insight into the world of CDs in the advertising industry. The content was fantastic, and Jon and his colleagues were very generous with their time. I would highly recommend the course to any aspiring Creative Directors.

It was such an amazing experience taking the Game Writing course with Adam Dolin. I want to also give a shout out to Sabina, Alex Blum, and all my peers who have helped make this such an amazing community. I learned so much from this course, and it has helped inspire me to pursue goals that I figured would never even be possible for me. I could go on and on and on while getting increasingly more sappy, so I’ll just say: thanks for everything.

I enrolled in ELVTR with a clear goal: to break away from stagnation, but Adam’s course gave me more than I ever could have asked for. Being a part of a welcoming, encouraging, and insightful learning environment was such a positive experience that I wish I could take again. Adam’s course material, feedback and personal endeavors has allowed me to learn the form and functions of the game industry as well as how narrative design operates within the cycle of development. My course was also very blessed to have Sabina as our Program Advisor, as she was not only attentive to our needs, but also empathetic towards ensuring everyone was able to get work done around their schedules based on their situations (and also a hilarious and overall enjoyable person during the entirety of the course). I’m very glad I took ELVTR and gained so many connections and the education I needed to move forward in my career, I recommend it for anyone wanting to take it as a stepping stone course or as catalyst into a future career.

I was not prepared for how professional, how supportive and genuine my instructors Adam and Alex would be for my game narrative course (Sabina you are our biggest cheerleader too and we all thank you for that.) I never would've guessed this class was as new as it was for how informative, helpful and resourceful it was. ELVTR makes sure you not only feel safe to learn to create, but pushes you with a community driven approach that felt it worked better than a lot of college courses I've taken.

I I really want to become a guy that makes good games and like simulators on Roblox and I think this is gonna make my dream one day five stars

You'd be surprised in what you can learn in 6 weeks from an instructor's lessons as well as class assignments in which feedback is given. I recently took the Game Writing Course with Adam Dolin where we covered and honed in on topics relevant to game writing in the industry. The course is well-paced and the resources given are quite plentiful both during the lesson and on the slides. The assignments were challenging if you were new to a particular concept (ie screenwriting) but not only was there value in the exercise, there was great value in getting feedback from professionals. (Shoutout to the incredible writer & TA for this class Alex Blum who was both encouraging and constructive in his feedback!) Also, while getting a 1:1 chance to meet with an instructor was incredbile, it was such a hard choice to pick and I know that plenty of students wished to meet with both Adam and Alex! One last thing, depending on your classmates' schedules and openness, this class will unlock an incredible community of writers that are open to collaboration, feedback, and workshopping/brainstorming together! Overall, this course was incredible and if there was a more advanced or even more focused class on game writing (character building or worldbuilding as a topic etc.), I would sign up in a heartbeat!

Everyone at the course is not only really responsive but very fun to talk to. It made the space feel very open and for the first time in a long time I was comfortable sharing a lot of ideas. If there was a possibility of an advanced game writing course being added in the future, I would without hesitation apply for it.
