I was studying AI for marketing in the first cohort. The process was organized well, but we didn’t have many interactions with each other, and the group was very diverse — from complete beginners to very advanced people — while the pace was aimed more at beginners.
Overall, the material wasn’t very deep. It felt more generic and focused on observing opportunities rather than showing what we can really do with AI. It also didn’t cover Claude at all, even though it was already a major tool at the time.
So overall, I wouldn’t recommend this program. Later, I found other programs on the market that were both more practical and deeper, and also cheaper.

Grant's Review
It was a great experience I loved my advisors, and the course was so fun and interesting! However, I wish it was easier to navigate through our previous assignments, or that there was a separate section to check our grades on each individual assignment.

Updated: Unethical Business Practice
Update:
Per the reply, they were able to honor the original course price so I am updating the review. I will update the review again after the course.
I was in the process of signing up for a course. I had started the approval process at work to get the course approved based on an invoice they gave me that was due March 7th.
When I completed the approval process, the rep informed me they had decided not to honor the original invoice date of March 7th and "updated" the invoice to be a higher cost ($600 more). Since when are invoices "updated" when the company decides to charge more?
They have an unethical business practice of baiting in customers with a price and then increasing the price at a later time. They still had seats, they just didn't want to offer them at the cost we agreed on.
Overall very unhappy with this experience. I highly doubt the quality of this course given the low quality of their bait and switch business practice. I was lured in with one price and then the price switched before I had a chance to settle on the due date of the invoice.
It's probably a good thing I didn't waste my annual tuition funds on this course.

Wouldn't recommend
I took the UI/UX class with Ivy S. I found the instructor incredible enthusiastic and engaging. The classes were a good structure, seemed a little bit beginner in some areas, but I did feel like I learned from the class. I guess the school itself gave me bad vibes, I felt a little deceived from marketing phonecall. It was presented as having lots of tangible feedback from the instructor and helping you jump into the industry- yes assignments were marked, but feedback on assignments was "great work" nothing really on improving my skills to break into the industry - I dont blame the instructor, she has over 75 students in the class and she was behind on marking. Office hours were with the entire class, so you could have a portfolio reviewed, but it honestly felt pretty rushed. I honestly felt like I could've learned most of it as an online video course, I did not feel like the instructor part made it worth over $4000 for the class. I would not recommend elvtr.com to others.

Dear Victoria,
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the UI/UX class taught by Ivy S. We highly appreciate your feedback and are committed to addressing the specific concerns you have shared.
You have done an exceptional job with the course assignments. You consistently submitted high-quality work and met deadlines in 90% of cases, leading Ivy to award the maximum grade. In her feedback, Ivy typically stated what she liked about the completed assets (2-4 sentences). We appreciate your feedback, as it highlights the importance of actionable insights and constructive criticism. We want to assure you that we have taken this feedback seriously, and we are continuously working to enhance the feedback provided to students, ensuring it is more comprehensive and helpful for their professional development.
In addition to Office Hours, every student had the opportunity to schedule a private meeting with Ivy or her co-host, Ian Mac Gregor. These sessions could be used for mock interviews, one-on-one consultations, or portfolio discussions. They were designed to provide personalized support and address individual questions and concerns.
Furthermore, starting from the current run of the course, we have added an Associate Instructor to the team. This addition will improve the quality and speed of feedback provided to students, further enhancing the learning experience.
We appreciate your feedback and take it into consideration as we strive to continually improve our courses. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We are committed to providing the best possible learning experience for our students.
Best,

Neutral to the class, some questions to think about
While the customer service is very good, the marketing seems be affective, and the instructor is very friendly, would you take a class marketed to have Apple's ux lead just to find out that it was Tim Cook instead of Steve Jobs?
What would you think if you had signed up for a class that was marketed with the Bungie brand but has no involvement to any of their games? If Destiny 2 was released in 2017, how much involvement did new UX lead who joined at the end of 2022 have to the success of the franchise? Has the reviews gotten better since the beginning of this year?
Would you consider taking a course that teaches UX but have the students question some of the very basic structures of a class such as when is the first class, if there is assignments due, how the assignments are turned in? Does the class itself nees UX enhancement? If the game designer optimizes user experience in the game in the planning phase, what input does a UX designer really have?
Could the class essentially be summarized by a book such as UX mapping by Peter Szabo and save you $3000? How reputable is it to have been told the class caps at 75 but ends with 95 students?
If you are really looking into UX, have you thought about all of the questions above?
Look around the UX designers around you. How many of them are just UI designers? How many of them switched to a different role? how many of them remained UX designer and had a stable job? Is UX really a role of the future or is it a trend of the present?
Will you learn the how and the why or will you only learn what is ux through the course? if all the "hows" are referenced to youtube, would you better off set aside 30 minutes a day to practice watching different youtube guides for free? Why do you have to already know how to design going into the class when the information is beginner-level ux?
If you want to get into the field, but lacks motivation, are you using the tuition as a form of motivation? Is that enough? If you don't plan on participating every class, why not buy a $10 class through Udemy? Or are you looking for the benefit of networking?
It is definitely a great environment for networking, students come from different fields, at different age, and live in different areas. Having participated the class definitely made me more confident in my own knowledge. Social media promotes the best posts to our feeds and that can sometimes be a confidence killer but the people who get that kind of glory also worked hard for it. So keep working hard, everyone will reach there if we put the time and effort into it. If this class is what you need to kickstart that motor, this is the class to sign up for. If you are already on the journey, is learning and reading constantly, why not invest that money create your own mini game? Action speak louder than words, we all know this, that's why the most commonly asked question is "will this class help me build my portfolio?"

Thank you for providing your feedback on Trustpilot. We appreciate your input and would like to address your concerns.
We understand that you decided to take a refund after the first class. We apologize if the initial session did not meet your expectations. However, we encourage you to consider that the first class, titled “Intro to UX/UI in Gaming,” intentionally focuses on fundamental concepts. Its purpose is to bring individuals with diverse backgrounds to a common starting point and establish shared definitions that will be used throughout the course. It would be unfair to judge the entire course based solely on this introductory session.
Regarding Ivy, our instructor, we want to clarify her experience and expertise. While Ivy is a new member at Bungie, she possesses extensive hands-on experience in UX design, research, and UI. She has worked on mobile game UX/UI design at Roadhouse Interactive and Hothead Games, managed UX research at EA (working on titles such as FIFA 21, FIFA 22, NHL 21, NHL 22, UFC 4, Next Skate, Dragon Age, SWTOR, Mass Effect, Battlefield 2042), and served as the UX Design Associate Director for the Battlefield 2042 franchise. With her comprehensive knowledge across different facets of UX, including design, research, and the hiring process, Ivy brings practical expertise that can greatly benefit students in their learning journey.
We would like to highlight that our course has received numerous positive reviews on Trustpilot. Many students have expressed their satisfaction with the unique aspects of our program that go beyond what can be found in books. Our course includes practical exercises, interactive discussions, and personalized feedback, enabling students to apply their knowledge and develop hands-on skills in UX design.
We understand the importance of transparency, accurate marketing, and ensuring that our students receive the best learning experience possible. Your feedback helps us improve, and we appreciate your input. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Beginner Level content
I think this would be a great course for people new to brand + marketing, however I was told and sold in on the concept it would be relevant for working professionals

More Focus Required on What Course Promises to Accomplish
Rachel was a great instructor and was very engaging. Course started off with a strong concept and was built on concepts required to ultimately get exposed/learn more complex analytic tools (PowerBi).
Last two courses (17% of instruction) were really a throw away and had nothing to do with "Data Analytics" those two course should have spent more time helping students learn how to use tools rather then how to market themselves to future employers. Storytelling is important, but it should be kept to the framework of understanding what your data is telling you and to communicate this to others in organization as finance professionals. Would have liked to enrolled a couple others in my organization in course, but will instead look for courses that are more focused on practical applications of available analytic tools.
Large disparity in knowledge level among instructor/participants kept the classroom discussion bogged down to accommodate those who struggled to understand concepts.
