El Monte RVReviews of elmonterv.com

The unit itself was in great shape and everything worked. However the added costs when checking out was not expected and added a lot of cost. The original quote was around $1200.00 but added cost when checking out was $195 for pick up $295 and add another $70 if you want to use the awning. These are all costs that should be included in the base cost.

We like the room that the motorhome had 32 foot but we did not like electric hot water heater did not work luckily the gas worked for hot water. We did not like the two mattresses that just thrown in the sleep area over the driver and passenger seat. That’s where I slept and it was ridiculous both uneven mattresses and that’s not even what was supposed to be up there by the manufacturer. I was very, very terrible uncomfortable. The back bedroom mattress was stained and very disgusting and we were told when we rented in Las Vegas that it was a 2025 camper which it was not we looked in the glove compartment and it was a 2024 I’ve rented from El Monte a few times last time we had no hot water the other time we had mold, dirty mattresses in the RV the first time we rented from bear RV, out of Seattle it was fantastic not sure who I will go with next time I ran an RV if I do El Monte again you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be calling the rental place before I pick up the RV and tell them what I expect for spending five to $6000 before I pick up the RV and I will go over it with a fine tooth comb!!!!!!!! oh yeah I forgot when I picked up the first RV from Vegas we got about 15 miles down the interstate maybe 20 miles and it was shaking so bad the front end I had to turn around and go back to the RV dealer that’s when the manager gave us the one we rented I really should’ve went over the RV good before I took that one as a customer. I really shouldn’t have to. I should trust your company to go over it to make sure everything is good. That’s all maybe I’ll do business with you again maybe not.

The price was a little high. The key for the side door got stuck and I had to use WD40 to get it out. EL MONTE RV was no help. A refrigerator shelf was broken. A sliding door was broken. I received no discount for these items. I collided with a small rock and caused a small amount of damage to the fiberglass below the side door and I was charged $600 for that.

I am grateful for the wonderful experience I had. However, because I was handed the wrong car key by your company, I wasted time and fuel returning the key to the nearest branch office. I hope you will improve your management processes to ensure better service in the future.

We did not get the camper we wanted..we had to flush out toilet on the second day because it started to smell real bad..we only used it for peeing while we had the camper..

The service was great, the rv was a little old feeling. The engine was noisy with some kind of exhaust leak, the house batteries were shot, only lasted a day with very little use after charging from the noisy generator. This rv had over 60k miles of hard rental use and it showed . Next time I will look for a fresher unit. Overall a good experience.

The staff was wonderful, especially Emmanuel. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire rental process. He took the time to answer my questions and made sure I felt comfortable before leaving, which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the RV significantly impacted our experience and is the reason for the 3-star rating. Upon pickup, the main mattress was filthy and should have been replaced long ago. It was also extremely worn out, flat, and uncomfortable. The overall cleanliness of the RV was poor. The floors, appliances, and interior surfaces were not adequately cleaned, and it was evident that a thorough deep cleaning had not been performed in quite some time. What was most concerning was the amount of dust throughout the vehicle. The upper bunk above the cab and the back of the mounted TV were completely covered in thick dust. The accumulation was so significant that it appeared those areas had not been cleaned in a very long time. My family and I are allergic to dust, and it made us uncomfortable throughout the trip. My son even needed to use his inhaler due to the dust exposure. We ultimately had to spend part of our Yosemite camping trip deep-cleaning the RV ourselves so that we could comfortably stay in it. While I did not have an opportunity to discuss these concerns with staff at drop-off due to time constraints, I felt it was important to provide honest feedback regarding the condition of the RV. The customer service was excellent, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the RV need significant improvement. With better attention to cleaning and upkeep, the overall experience would have been much better.

It was a great trip. Don't get me wrong. It's was 2+ week in a Class B motor home (Sprinter Van) that had troubles and I think the company is stepping back from them. They worked with us on the issues and as a company things worked out OK. But I think that if they are going to do something it should be "all in", not a "kinda in" which was this experience. Would use them again. It was a fun trip!
