ELP/ Point Break Financial are shady companies
ELP and Point Break Financial (their customer service side) were fast in getting me to sign up for their services. After signing up for the debt relief program, I came here to review and saw all the complaints of their service, refusal to cooperate or even provide quality service based on the prices people had been paying. Because of that I decided to cancel my contract. I emailed ELP’s client care email address, and nothing in response. Then texted my agent through the Point Break Financial, Rollins J who was assigned and given instructions to ask him anything if I had questions. I sent “ can you confirm getting my email” and Rollins responded. I then mentioned cancellation, and from there had no response after trying to call me to talk about my reasons. I responded multiple times to confirm my cancellation and ending all payments. I had not been charged because the payment plan had not started yet. Finally I got ahold of an ELP representative, went through the process of canceling. Was told to wait up to 3 business days to get a confirmation email and payments to be stopped. I got no email about the payments, just that my contract ceased. Given it’s been more than 3 days, the vast claims of fraud, scam, and shady practices. I took this to mean they have ignored my payment cancellation as if it’s some separate matter. I will be filing this with the FTC of everything currently. And further escalations if I get charged the bi-weekly $130.09 by the firm. Thank you everyone for giving clarity to this business. It has helped me take action and prevent being another victim of their spineless actions and abusing people in vulnerable situations in an attempt to make it worse. John H, Ohio USA

By the reviewer's own admission, the reviewer cancelled his contract with our law firm before services were to begin. The reviewer expressed buyer's remorse essentially and decided to part ways with our firm and we certainly respect his decision to do so. We wish him well moving forward; however, the reviewer is not truly able to review our services, considering he decided not to pursue representation with us, and is only presenting this review based on other reviews. We respectfully encourage prospective clients and readers to consider the broader spectrum of feedback available online. The overwhelming majority of our reviews reflect very positive experiences and professional outcomes, with less than one-tenth of one percent expressing dissatisfaction—often in circumstances involving heightened emotional distress, such as personal financial hardship. It is important to note that both our agreement and client service have withstood scrutiny from consumer protection organizations, like the Better Business Bureau, because we are fair to our clients and work hard for them.
