DO NOT use this company, contract is BS, once you sign up you are locked in, and canceling is almost impossible. The service they provide is basically sweeping some spider webs and sprinkle some dust around the outside of your house. I saw really no improvement in pests. I was told each time I tried to cancel I would have to pay a huge fee. They promised to lower the rate and then charged me the full amount anyway. When I called about the overcharge they stated I should see a refund on my card. Nothing...Worst decision I ever made. True Scam. I wish I had checked their reviews first.

Automatic renewal SCAM
SCAM. Still being charged $250 for breaking an automatic renewal contract that I never agree upon. I'll pay to avoid problems with my credit, but I am asking for a full refund.

This business could not be more of a SCAM, with ZERO customer service
This business could not be more of a scam, and I've never had a business experience like this before in my life. As many have mentioned, a young door to door salesman came by pitching pest control that many others in our neighborhood were getting. We had just relocated and were settling in. Details of what would be done and when were not made clear by the salesperson, and we asked that ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE be done the day they were there as it was our block party and families would be playing on our yard and we didn't want any pesticides on our yard our house. The sales person said no problem, and that they would just conduct the first service when they were in the neighborhood next time. I did pay up front for the first month/service. Less than 3 weeks later they returned to conduct their first service but charged me another $200, so $400 within 30 days. I asked to speak to the salesperson that called on me, and they were not able to connect us. Now i continue to get calls from the billing department and that is all. They say sales people are seasonal employees and customer service manages the claims. Its like talking to a call center where you have the same conversation 100x over and over with a different person each time. Because I could not speak to a sales person ro manager, i asked my account be shut off and I have an email from them saying everything is put away. 4 months later they are now threatening me to go to collections saying i owe another $200 for a cancellation fee. I get non-stop calls at all hours of the day from their billing and department badgering me without any discussion with a single salesperson to which they respond we can't guarantee that. This is the biggest SCAM in the world and the worst customer service I have come across in a professional environment. I hope others read these before falling trap to this terrible company like I did.

Almost got SCAMMED and had to PAY to…
Almost got SCAMMED and had to PAY to cancel when I was unhappy about it. I just want to alert others regarding the poor and dishonest practices of Ecoshield Pest Solutions. After noticing a mouse in the basement, Ecoshield, who I had been a customer with for almost 2 years, offered to come out for a free inspection. They did a cursory look inside and wanted to check activity in the attic to make sure there wasn’t an infestation, even though there were only a couple droppings in total in the basement and one mouse seen. The technician came down and showed me some pictures and said there was unfortunately an infestation and they were burrowed everywhere and insulation was soaked with urine. There were a couple of droppings in the photos he showed me and some of the insulation (probably original from the late 80’s) did look dark/discolored. I was surprised to hear this, given only a couple of droppings in total found in the basement, and everywhere in the house was totally fine- kitchen, pantry, bathrooms, etc. They quoted me almost $8k for remediation of the attic and that if unresolved could lead to mice coming out of the HVAC system and vents. They offered a 3rd party payment plan option, which I said I would look into, but there was some pressure that I fill out the forms and sign up that moment. I declined again and he left his contact info and left. I then called another pest control company to come out and take a look because things didn’t add up at all. In the meantime, we trapped two mice in the basement and ecoshield later came to put traps inside per my request. When the second pest control company came, I made sure to go up into the attic with them to look for myself while they were inspecting the area. They said there was minimal to no activity in the attic. I told them there was a reported infestation; he looked around again and said there is no infestation whatsoever. The insulation is old and could use a replacement, but there is no infestation. I pointed out the dark areas from the photos and he said that was all dust- not mice urine, and there was no evidence of burrowing.
I called Ecoshield numerous times to discuss my dissatisfaction with their service. I discussed the dishonesty with the attic and overall dissatisfaction with treatment of the outside area. I have seen technicians walk around the house quickly dropping granules and leaving in 10 minutes or less. No one is inspecting for problematic areas or alerting me of potential issues (like holes around the house the mice could use to enter, which they later inspected and quoted me $500 to fill). I am paying good money for pest control, not chemicals thrown about haphazardly, which I could do myself. After a lot of excuses and talking with a manager, they finally ended my contract with 2 months left, but said they have to back-add the discount they gave me for service for the year, which was a couple hundred bucks, or I could finish out the service and not waste the money. I reminded them that I was not happy with their service and do not want it; I don’t think the service they provided was worth even the discounted rate. I also reminded them that what they did was dishonest and fraudulent, and I am lucky that I got a second opinion. They said they would pass the message along to corporate and I would hear back, but never did. I called back a week later to follow up to remove the extra charge and explained everything yet again, but the customer service rep said they could not help and they spoke with the manager, and they were denying my request. There was no one else I could speak to regarding this matter, and that I owed the remaining balance. Over a period of a couple of months, I have talked to a manager 5 times and in the end the most they could do is reduce the fee I owed by a little.
There has still not been any mouse activity inside the house months later, and I had the attic checked yet again.
In summary, ALWAYS get a second opinion and do not trust EcoShield. When a problem arises (which they should be preventing…), they will try to nickel and dime you and if you are dissatisfied, you can pay a lump sum and cancel your contract. Meanwhile, you pay for their services year after year and they sit back and laugh while the technician speed walks around your house, then leaves. If there isn’t a real manager that you can talk to that can do something, there is a real problem here. I recommend getting out before an issue arises or not renewing your contract, because obviously this company is not here to help, and some within the company may try to scam you. I since signed with another pest control company that has BETTER coverage and even costs much less.

THEY'RE OUT TO RIP YOU OFF
THEY'RE OUT TO RIP YOU OFF! I had a contract with them and they were supposed to remediate the mice in my attic. They told me I had to pay to have the floorboards taken up -- which I did. They subcontracted to another company who showed up for two hours and took out the old insulation on my walls and floor, put insulation on the walls and left. EcoShield never showed up to do anything else. The floorboards were up, mouse feces all over, and I never heard from them again. Called repeatedly and nobody answered. But they charged me $3,300. I disputed with BBB and American Express. After almost two months, I got my money back. And now I have to pay to have my attic cleaned up, insulation put back in, and floorboards back. I don't even care about the mice; I'm using humane traps and calling it a day. have lived with the contents of my attic all around me for almost three months. Their whole point was to take my money.
