I asked the young man if he saw the no soliciting/no trespassing sign and he answered back with "I don't look for signs" trying to press on with the 'field mice' gag. I yelled "get outta here now" at him and he looked at me in disbelief, snickered, laughed, turned to leave and said 'have a nice day.' This is not the first time this business has done this same type of heavy-handed devil-may-care attitude towards I and my family. Please respect privacy rights which includes obeying the signs because, TRESPASSERS WILL BE MET WITH HOSTILITY. Especially the 'defiant' attitude the young man displayed, there's no reason not to fear such behavior from Eco Shield employee's, any next time will come with a video and civil charges against the individual and the company.

BIG SCAM and FRAUD These guys were behind me(knocking the door on every month) though I clearly told them several times not to approach my house. Out of frustrations and to avoid them permanently, I accepted their one-time service. But they haven't told me that it's a yearly contract. Now, they are literally block mailing and threatening me to pay $200 more to completely cancel the service. This is ridiculous and height of cheating. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT use these people. Everything they say is a LIE. They should not be in business, they are just scam artists! The first couple of months were ok but then they weren’t even showing up, but yet I was supposed to be still paying them!! I called an called no one even answered. Now they have a collection service on me wanting my hard earned money for nothing. They are total con artists STAY AWAY!!!!

DO NOT sign up for this service! We signed the contract for a year. Were skipped multiple times because “the dogs were in the backyard” mind you I’m a stay at home mom and our dogs are inside dogs. When it came time to cancel at the end of the year that I had to pay an additional $150 plus the cancellation fee because I had one more service left. A total scam. The woman I spoke with did not make sense when she spoke, it’s almost as if she was just saying random words. ON TOP of this the actual service itself is useless. We had had piles and piles of daddy long leg nests, and other spiders constantly, I don’t believe they actually spray anything but water.

Had someone knock on my door and it just so happens we have a groundhog we needed to deal with. I told Eco Shield that was all i was worried about since we bought the house a year ago and had all sorts of inspections done house is good no signs of anything. They said they had to come back to set up the trap and I had to sign up for some service plan that was a couple hundred annually because it would be way cheaper that way. Then I got invoices of over $3k of services emailed to me. I called that very same day to cancel it all as this had become well outside the scope of what i asked for. I spoke to a very nice woman named Kay (40min call) who assured me everything was canceled and that some of the services had to be canceled by the local office but that i should not worry because she had put in a request to cancel. The next day i get a text and email confirming all these services i dont want. The local office calls to ask why I am canceling I tell them why and make it crystal clear to them to terminate any and all business between me and ecosheild. Local office says "ok your canceled" Well, that was a lie. Next day more emails and texts confirming upcoming appointments so i call again and spoke to another gentleman he kindly told me now i was cancelled and he said again the local office still had to cancel one of the services but he put in a cancelation request and everything was good. He could not tell me why I had to do this again after already cancelling of course. At this point I have lost all trust in this company and it is feeling like a scam so I insist we get hold of the local office before I hang up. We did and they said everything is cancelled but we will see if that holds true. I am still getting emails saying I need to call again to confirm my cancelation and that there are fees to cancel despite me caneling all this the same day it all started. What a waste of time dealing with this company. They didnt care about what I actually needed or wanted. Just do some research into this company and you will see countless stories like mine. I had to ask repeatedly for written confirmation and still all I got was a note from somone via email saying "your services are cancelled" with no details at all. I am thinking I may need to shut off my credit card after all this. NEVER ECOSHEILD

ABSOLUTE SCAM DO NOT FALL FOR THE “HARD SELL” - this has become my immediate go-to sign to run the other way when presented in such a manner . “Your fellow neighbors have signed up with us” - did I ask ‘who??” No! This bought me a solid year + of endless wasted hours on the line with them, begging, pleading to cancel. The service itself- pointless - in a matter of moments, a person turns up and flits about your exterior…all to no avail.

Scammers! Stay away from this company! The company representative I signed up the initial contract with was a great sales man, who said he can give me a 50% discount if I sign up today. He showed me all bugs on the walls outside and assured me the initial service will be done in few days and the technician will come to my place and do inside and outside treatment, removes all wall bugs and etc. Nobody showed up on the agreed day and time. I called the person who I signed up with he said the service was done. I explained that it was not because bugs are still on the walls and I was home and nobody was here. He set up another appointment and assured they will come back and do everything inside and outside again. The 210$ charge was posted on my account same day. And they actually did arrive on the 2nd appointment, but no service was done except of putting the rats box outside on backyard. At least something 😅 I decided to cancel because company is not professional. I called the customer service, spent 30 minutes on the phone, the lady was nice by the way, offered me several options because wanted me to stay with the company. I said no, let’s cancel, thank you and there we got a miracle. 150$ cancelation fee , which nobody told me about. Also, she said I signed up for 24 months contract , which I was surprised to hear about, because I moved into rental property with 12 month lease . And probably I was out of my mind signing 24 month service contract and having 12 month lease agreement on rental. 😅 but of course nobody told me about contract term same as about cancellation fees. So at this point I had to trust to EcoShield , cancelled the contract, paid the fees, and posting 1 stars everywhere I could. As a result, I got no promised service, paid 210$ for initial service and 150$ cancelation fee, total 360$ and all I got waisted time , and the box for rats on my backyard which I assume they will take back.

What a complete scam of a company. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH. Long story short, their door-to-door sales, aggressive solicitation model found its way to my street and against my better judgment I signed up when the door-to-door person told me that there would be absolutely no cancellation fee if I tried the service. I brought up the $150 discount thing and he said no no will waive that if you sign up today. After about a year, I decided that the service wasn’t worth the money and went to go cancel and they came back and said you owe us $150. I tried calling never got a call back from a manager finally I called in for the fourth time and asked to speak to a manager directly and they refused saying you’re going to owe us the money and if not, it’s going to a collection agency. Absolutely horrific. There are law suits against them for there illegal solicitation model / contracts in Michigan among other states. I filed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I plan on sharing my experience is wide ranging as I possibly can.
