I would avoid Eargo at all costs. I spent well over $1,000 dollars on the Eargo 7. The quality is dire. The app didnt work. When I finally got them working the sound was very tinny. I complained when one side failed (it just fell apart). They provided a replacement but they were so uncomfortable and of such bad quality that I couldnt use them. I sought to ask for even a partial refund but they basically told me "no". I would avoid at all costs.

These hearing aids were constantly breaking down. Would send them in and have to go another 7-10 days without a hearing aid. Also- after warranty is up- they suggest buying new pair at a reduced rate which was laughable because they were as good as trash. I would not purchase these ever again- please check out other hearing aid companies. Their customer service is awful too. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND TIME. Thank you.

Overpriced OTC hearing aids. Over $1600 for these is a waste of money. Flimsy charger. Returned them a month ago with proof they were delivered and still no refund. No communication from them whatsoever. Worthless, do not recommend.

I purchased the Eargo 7 a little over a year ago. They are great when they work and Eargo has excellent customer service. However, in the year I’ve had them, I’ve had to have the right hearing aid replaced twice and the left replaced once. I’m also finding that the battery life significantly shortens overtime. When they were new I could get 8 to 10 hours of use and now, after only a little over a year, I get the low battery message after only 3 to 4 hours. There would have to be significant improvements in quality and battery life for me to consider buying these again.

I have used the Eargo 7 for three years. While the device performance is amazing and works exactly as advertised, it comes with significant long-term downsides. In my experience, the units require constant replacement. Roughly every year, the battery life degrades significantly or the device begins shutting down randomly. Additionally, the removal threads have come off, causing the device to get stuck in my ear. The biggest issue is the cost: out-of-warranty replacements are $400 per ear. Even when the device malfunctions through no fault of my own, I am still required to pay. This means spending roughly $800 every two years just to keep them operational. While the technology is excellent, the expensive replacement service makes it difficult to justify the investment

As a company grows, service is getting worse. Used to be that when you had a problem, you contacted an actual customer audiologist, but now you must talk to a call center who listens to your problem and then emails the audiologist, while you were on hold for five or 10 minutes and then they have to give you an answer which is often incomplete. This is the third set of our Eargo that I have purchased, and the customer service keeps getting worse. This time the charger has failed on the year EARGO SE, and I explain that I'm an engineer and I know when the charger is bad but instead she still wanted me to go through a ridiculous number of steps to diagnose even though I explained to her that un under no conditions would the charger display any lights, even with using a separate power supply. So when she finally agrees it's bad then she says they will send me one which will arrive in "5 to 10 days". Now what am I supposed to do to be able to hear in the meantime? In this case with both sides being unable to charge, they should have sent them out overnight or at the worst, Second day. Call center was unable to do that and so while I have escalated the call, I have not heard back.

Don't waste your money on this hearing aid. I wore them for at least 2 years when they worked. I send them back at least three times for repair until my warranty ran out and they charged me. No use having hearing aids that don't work. Understand you must get customer service for the return. My hearing aids I wear today are better and where less expensive
