My 14 yr old dog is in a lot of pain due to aging, and I just want to keep him comfortable without the hassle of giving him to see a vet to get pain meds prescribed. I signed up for this service with that intent, half expecting there to be some trick or to fail. They, thankfully , exceeded all of my best expectations and totally squashed all of my worst. Dr. Was wonderful, compassionate and kind and the service is great. I will definitely be recommending.

Dr. Cheatham was kind and attentive to all the details I shared about my dog. She gave us the right treatment, and my dog is already feeling much better following the plan she recommended. I’m happy we found Dutch.

If you are looking for a basic nurse line for your pet, Dutch is likely a good choice. We had Dr Boomer who was a very lovely and fabulous vet. Very caring and the concept of a virtual apt for a vet is pretty cool. However in saying this I would NOT recommend this company for anything that’s serious and needs immediate treatment, such as infection. It doesn’t need an emergency costly vet but the costs of using this company could be worse than an emergency vet. Or you may have to go to an emergency vet like we did in addition. Here’s why you CANNOT get treatment / medications in a timely manner. Dutch has their own pharmacy which is at least a week to get your meds. They do offer a transfer script option but this option can only be done M-F during bankers hours and can take up to 48 hours to process your request…. Plus you have to pay them to transfer them. So for our instance where our dog had an inter ear infection the time it would take to receive her medication could be life threatening especially when they continue to decline and refuse food and water. However if we had been able to obtain valuable medications in a timely fashion her condition would not be life threatening. In the end if you want to talk to a vet for minor issues and can wait for treatment they may not be that bad.

I really appreciated the vet being able to help us from home on a Sunday! Our dog has trouble with ear infections and he really needed care.

The care through Dutch is top notch. My service dog has allergies so she gets a lot of skin issues. They have also treated her for an infected angel gland and I had a appointment because she is now 2 and she was still having trouble piddling when excited. They helped us get that problem resolved too. Just yesterday they saved us a trip to the ER vet. I always give my animals shots from the farm store for everything but rabies that is done at her yearly check up at our local vet. I used a 10 n 1 shot from spectra the same brand I always use. But covers a lot more and saves so much doing yourself. She had a reaction to the shot or a big piece of steak she swiped off the counter. It had a lot of garlic on it on garlic can be toxic to dogs. She had the poops and vomiting non stop. I have her Pepto as that's safe for dogs but didn't help much. They got her an appointment in 3 hours from the time I requested it. I take zofran for a stomach problem so I let the vet know I had that and know dogs can take it was just not sure of the dosing and that I had Pepcid as well but didn't want to give her anything until I had the right dosage. He made me feel better as he said what I was doing was the right thing to do. I kept her bowl full of ice to keep her hydrated n was making sure she was peeing good ECT. He said she should be better in around 48 hours. Gave her 1/4 a cup of wet food she can have at 8 am n she has kept it down so far. I can't think Dutch enough for saving me thousands with my dog's issues and my daughter's cat had gotten very ill n she returned the two of them and Dutch helped the cat whom lost all of his hair sorted out. The fact they will see up to 5 pets in your family is awesome and I can't even guess at how much they have saved us in vet bills. The treatment plans are easy to understand and I always forward a copy to the physical vet here for coordination of care. Our vet even communicated when we went in for rabies shots n yearly check up that this is a great service as lots of places have a vet shortage. Please do not heasatate get the plan it will pay for its self also the meds are cheaper than even Walmart only one time they went n it was just a 5 bucks difference n they had me credited back the difference the next day............
