Great concept - terrible pharmacy process !

While this is a great concept and I love being able to see a vet virtually - the entire process for the medications completely beats the purpose of convenience . You have a sick animal - you pay their membership fee, you see a vet and vet prescribes meds. Now you will either wait 2-3 days for the meds to come from Dutch pharmacy or you will wait 2-3 days for the meds to be transferred to your local pharmacy. Totally defeating when you have a sick animal who needs the meds asap. I’m so upset over this whole medication process and I will never use them again. The veterinarian should be able to fax or call the scrips directly to the pets local pharmacy . Why would someone with a sick pet want to wait 2-3 days for the meds?? It’s easier to just take the animal to your local vet. Use another provider as Dutch has went downhill.

While Dutch is designed to provide convenient access to veterinary care, we recognize that our current prescription process can feel slow when you're facing an urgent situation. As a telehealth platform focused on non-emergent care, we aren't a replacement for in-person emergency services, and that can be especially challenging when a pet needs immediate medication. That said, we agree there’s room for improvement.
