The doctor was friendly and explained everything in a manner that was very easy to understand. I’m grateful for this service as I was recently paralyzed and can no longer get my dog to the vet as often as they require for constant. “skin checks” it’s helpful for all people who can’t drive or have transportation issues in one way or another.
Response from Dutch VetJun 10, 2026
We're so glad our doctor clearly explained everything and that our service is helpful for your pet's "skin checks." We appreciate you highlighting how beneficial this is for those with transportation challenges.

Our dog Remi is extremely difficult to transport. Dutch was able to diagnose and prescribe exactly what Remi needed through a video appointment. Our veterinarian was attentive and the experience has been a blessing to us and our dog. Thank you Dutch!!!

Save yourself! Don’t do it. The vet was wonderful. The problem comes from the “pharmacy”. I had an online vet visit for my dog on 5/30. She has an infection in her mouth and needs antibiotics along with her flea meds and anxiety medication. The vet visit was great. She issued the prescriptions immediately and I immediately filled them through the Dutch pharmacy. It is now Jun 9th and those medications have still not shipped or been filled. While they shut me up for a day by the pharmacy showing the order as shipped, the only thing they really did was print a shipment label. The prescription went back to “processing” today and there is no movement in the tracking issue. I got a 2nd script wrote by the vet that was supposed to be electronically sent to a local pharmacy. Welp, here I am, 24 hours later waiting for customer service to electronically submit the prescription. I called the phone number provided and the message came up that they can’t answer the phone due to an earthquake. Guess what? There was an earthquake in the Philippines so I suppose that’s where their “customer service” is. At this point, I’ve been scammed out of 120 for the yearly membership and 159 for the medications. Now, I can’t get a vet appointment for 4 weeks. This is a total scam. Save your money and your sanity and just take your pet to a local vet. How sad that these people are suppose to care about an animals well being but do everything they can to put them in a harmful situation. I will be disputing both the charges for the medication and the yearly subscription fee with my bank. In response to Dutch’s response. First, it originally showed the meds would ship on the following Monday from the appt. Never was I contacted that any medication was out of stock. When I finally contacted customer service, I made it very clear that I had to have that medication on or before June 10th as we would be leaving for 4 months and no one would be available to receive it. Sure, the medication finally did deliver. Yesterday the 11th. A full day after we left. So it’s sitting in a mailbox and will remain there for 4 months making it junk. You can justify what happened all you want you but your pharmacy charged me $159.00 for medications I got from Walmart for $72.00. More than half off. No dog should have to wait 15 days for an antibiotic if you truly care about a pets health. I will call and get the refund but what about the wasted 159.00 from your pharmacy for meds that I was grossly overcharged for and won’t even be safe to use by the time I get home? And why did it take several days to get a simple prescription transferred? It’s a 20 second process. Shame on you Dutch! And in reviewing, I’m not the only one that has had these exact issues with your pharmacy. Maybe you should correct that issue.

Thank you for sharing your experience and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and stress this caused for both you and your dog. We want to address your concerns with full transparency. Your order was placed on May 30th with our standard free 4 to 7 day shipping. We do want to acknowledge that one of the medications was temporarily out of stock at the pharmacy, which unfortunately caused a delay in your shipment. We are sorry that this was not communicated to you more clearly throughout the process as you absolutely deserved timely updates. Your order was ultimately delivered via USPS on June 11th, 2026. We also want to note that on June 9th our team did assist in transferring your prescription to Walmart and can confirm it was sent and ready for pick up that same day. We hope that helped get your dog the medication she needed more quickly. We also want to address your concern regarding our customer service team. We do have our support team based in the Philippines and we sincerely apologize for the disruption in service during the earthquake. That was an extraordinary and unexpected circumstance that impacted their ability to respond, and we understand how incredibly frustrating that must have been when you were already dealing with an urgent situation. We want to assure you that our team is fully trained and dedicated to providing quality support, and the location of our team does not diminish their ability to assist you. We are truly sorry that your dog had to wait for her medications during this time. That is never something we take lightly and we understand how serious an infection can be. If you would prefer to cancel your membership for a prorated refund please don't hesitate to reach out and we will take care of you. You can contact us at [email protected] or call/text 1-855-DR-DUTCH and our team will be happy to assist.

I would strongly caution anyone against relying on Dutch for medications that your pet truly depends on. My dog’s allergy medication was lost in transit, leaving him without treatment for over a week. During that time, his condition worsened significantly—constant itching, chewing at his paws, and a spreading rash. I contacted Dutch multiple times, explained the situation, and repeatedly asked for help. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of urgency. I offered to pay for expedited shipping and requested escalation to a supervisor. Instead, I was told to wait for a standard replacement shipment or purchase another prescription myself, despite never receiving the original medication. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and no meaningful solution was offered. When the replacement was finally sent, it was shipped using standard delivery despite my repeated requests for expedited shipping due to my dog’s worsening condition. I understand that shipping issues happen. What I cannot understand is treating a lost prescription medication the same way you would treat any ordinary retail package. I entrusted Dutch with my dog’s health, and they treated it like a piece of clothing I did not receive in the mail. If your pet relies on timely medication, I would think carefully before using this service. UPDATE: their reply below is not true. I did end up receiving one free month of his meds but it didn’t change that there was no sense of urgency once it was clear that the medication was lost in the mail. (Mind you insured by Dutch as well, so they probably got their money back) as a matter of fact, I put in a ticket with USPS about the lost mail and they were prompt about getting me the lost mail. They also did not ever transfer anything to Costco. Another lie. They just kept replying- 24 hours later- that it would be quicker to rush shipping. I ordered the 3rd medication and paid for the rush shipping, just so they could all arrive one the 11th. An entire week without these meds for my dog means a lot. His body is completely destroyed from this. They did not care and their reply to this shows even more they just do not care. Don’t lie, Dutch. Lesson learned though. I will always have that “free” replacement meds that were sent as standard shipping in case this ever happens again because we are on our own when it comes to my dog apparently.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we sincerely apologize for the stress and frustration this situation caused for both you and your dog. We completely understand how difficult it is to watch your pet suffer without their necessary medication, and we want to provide full transparency on what took place. Your original order was placed on May 27th, 2026 and shipped on May 28th with standard 4 to 7 day shipping. Unfortunately, this shipment appears to have been initially lost with USPS, which is something we take very seriously. We want to clarify that our team did work diligently with you throughout this process to find a resolution. When you reached out, we arranged a replacement order at no cost to you on June 8th. Another order was also placed on your end for an additional bottle with free rush shipping via FedEx, and separately transferred a prescription to Costco for you as well. All shipments were delivered on June 11th, 2026. We do want to address your concern about expedited shipping on the replacement. We understand how urgently you needed the medication and we truly empathize with that. However, due to the nature of prescription medication, pharmacies are required to confirm that a shipment is lost with the carrier before issuing a replacement. This policy exists to prevent the unintentional duplication of controlled or regulated medications and is not within our discretion to bypass. We recognize this is deeply frustrating when your pet is suffering, and we are sorry the reasoning was not communicated more clearly or compassionately in the moment. At this time, it does appear that you have received a total of 4 bottles of this medication between the original order, the replacement, the additional rush shipment, and the Costco transfer. We hope your dog is feeling much better and that his symptoms are now well managed. We hear your feedback regarding communication and urgency, and we will use this experience to continue improving how we support our customers during difficult situations. We truly care about your dog's health and are glad we were ultimately able to get him the care he needed. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our team directly if there is anything further we can do for you.
