Severe Quality Control Issues
Severe Quality Control Issues – Faulty Tuning Hardware I am extremely disappointed with my recent purchase from Donner. The instrument arrived with a faulty tuning mechanism, clearly visible and affecting its ability to tune and stay in tune properly. This is not a minor cosmetic issue—it directly impacts basic functionality and makes the instrument unusable as intended. What is most concerning is that this is something that should never pass quality control. Tuning hardware is a core component, and receiving a brand-new product with such an obvious defect seriously undermines confidence in Donner’s manufacturing and inspection processes. Aside from the tuning issue, no other problems have been identified so far, which makes the defect even more frustrating—it suggests a lack of final checks rather than shipping damage. I am now forced to go through a return and replacement process for a product that should have been fully functional out of the box. This experience has significantly lowered my trust in the brand, and I would strongly caution potential buyers to carefully inspect their instruments immediately upon receipt. Quality control at this price point should be far better.
