GreatPuppy Experience
My two puppies had a great experience during their 3 -day stay. And we felt comfortable receiving pictures and updates of their activities. We will definitely use this service again.

Great concept but could be executed better
I love the idea of crowdsourcing pet sitting but don't love how DogVacay carries it out. They push booking an appointment right off the bat rather than communicating with the sitter first. They also have a nonrefundable fee added onto the booking. It seems if anyone is inconvenienced by a cancellation it is the sitter themself not dogvacay so why is dogvacay the only one getting to keep money. This combined with the push for booking without communication with the sitter really seems to be putting the company's interests before the client's. Lastly, at least in my area there aren't as many sitters availabe in the area as I would have hoped.

We strive to make the service as easy as possible for our Guests, which is why we offer our Guests the opportunity to message the Host or schedule a Meet n Greet prior to booking a reservation through the Host's profile. We stress the importance of a Meet n Greet to make sure that the Host is the right fit for your pup, which leads to less cancelations. Our non-refundable Trust & Safety Fee is an important part of our structure, as it provides us the resources to provide excellent education and background checks for our Hosts, as well as the premium insurance included in each Vacay. Excellent resource for anyone needing a dog sitter.
I used DogVacay to find a dog sitter in my neighborhood over the December holidays. The sitter had various certificates listed on her page that made me confident she was committed to providing a great second home to my pup.

Dog Vacay is a gem
I was so blessed to find the best dog sitter on this site! I have a dog with special needs and I have had a hard time leaving her. I ended up finding a sweet gal who loves dogs and who takes such good care of my little girl, and she only lives 1 1/2 blocks from me. This site has enabled me to leave town without worrying if my dog is ok!! Wonderful! Highly recommend it!!!

Great Service
We have two rescue girls and when we planned an 11-day cruise I knew I couldn't leave them in a cage again. So I went to DogVacay and searched the area where we spend the winter. And there was the perfect person for us. DogVacay was so easy to navigate, their policies are good and I knew my girls would be well cared for. They were, we are happy and the girls came home spoiled.
