The idea is fantastic. I have only used one person who is the greatest. We had a meet and greet which was perfect. It is so amazing to have peace of mind when you travel or have to leave your pet for any reason. I am very thankful to have found DogVacay.

We've used at least three hosts on dogvacay so far and love the service. For us, this is more affordable that boarding your dog, plus you dont pay for all the "extras" that a boarding location charges--- walks/play time, etc, since all the hosts include this in their price. Finally, you often can get hosts that are nearer to you than a kennel, depending on where you live. We also love that there is the option to choose hosts that also have a dog themselves, since ours loves other animals. Of course, if you have a dog that needs more individualized care, there are plenty of hosts without pets that can help with dogs that need to be alone. Overall, we feel this site works because of the vetting that that dogvacay does on its hosts-- we trust using hosts w/o a meet and greet for the most part as we feel we are guaranteed a responsible dog-lover to watch our dog!

The site is really easy to use. There is a lot of information about the hosts which makes it really easy to decide on who fits my needs best. I like being able to pay online. I have only ever had good experiences using the site and with the hosts who use it.

I was so fortunate to find sitters that loved my dogs as much as we do while our family was on vacation. I felt completely comfortable while I was away. I recommend speaking to several people and read the repeat customers. Thanks, DogVacay!
