Colette was an excellent care giver for our Dashi. She communicated with us while we were away. Our son was sad bc we didnt take our son on vacation with us, so she sent him daily videos so he could see him. I think Dashi had a great stay while we were away.

I am so happy to have found a fantastic dog sitter/lover on DogVacay! From stsrt to finish my expierence was perfect. My dog was happy and well cared for. She had a great time at Kathy"s. I would highly recommended the entire experience. I was able to go on my girls trip without a worry, as I knew my little sweetie was in very good hands. Loved recieving photo's of Alika throughout the day! So happy I looked for an alternative to a Vet kennel. Alika being in a home with Kathy made her feel safe and comfortable. Kathy kept her on her regular routine of feeding and sleeping, so she was a happy pup! I would highly recommend both DogVacay and Kathy!

I was SO hesitant to use this site because I have a year old french bulldog and he's my first ever dog. So he's basically like my fur child and if anything were to happen to him I would be distraught!!!! But this site makes it easy to feel comfortable because of the reviews, background checks, updates on your dogs stay with pics and the pictures they show of the area your dog will be in. Even though I miss him when he's gone I know he's in good hands. Me and my boyfriend own a business where we constantly travel for work and we take our dog with us. It can be very difficult having him with us at times but it's awesome to find a dog sitter in case we're at work too long or have already checked out of our hotel for the day because we're traveling that night after work! So kudos to DogVacay for providing such an amazing service and making the dog owners feel comfortable leaving their pup with strangers!

We booked our first DogVacay for our senior chihuahua a few weeks ago. The process itself was easy enough and we thought the sitter was great when we met her during the drop off. However, our dog came back with a mysterious paw ailment that necessitated a series of vet visits and medications. I checked in with the sitter and she said that he was behaving normally during the weekend. Since there is no way to know what happened or when it happened, we chose not to pursue a claim with DogVacay. I did correspond with their customer service team by email and was told that any issues that can be proven to be a direct cause of the DogVacay stay is covered under their medical insurance after a $250 expenditure by the guest, which means that most of our vet expenses would not have been covered anyway since 1) there is no way to prove that his injury was a direct result of the stay and 2) our vet bills totaled slightly more than $300. Like all services of this nature, it's up to each user to decide how much trust to place in the system and others exchanging services through it.
