Dogtra smart bark.
Collar shocks dog when another dog barks. The company won’t take responsibility for faulty goods.(well I am not sure if it is faulty or it is just rubbish quality.) it works the same as a £20 one off Amazon.
the smart app intermittently stops working and won’t work if not on the Wi-Fi at home.
I bought two so feeling hard done by!!

No disabled veteran support
Purchased their top of the line Pathfinder 2 setup. Could not get it to work. Contacted support, they make lies I am using the wrong app, i am not ignorant of how to use electronics amd applications. But i sent a picture of the app and the version i am using. They said to call, i said i lost my voice in the last war i was in, they need to text or email, i never heard from them again.
After not hearing from them for weeks, I post a negative review on their site about all i have gone through and i still own a very expensive collar i can not use. They refuse to post it and send an email claiming to again i am using the wrong app and to contact them via phone, AGIAN!?
So i reply yet a third time that i am a disabled veteran and send them a picture of the app and version i am using. Still, no reply.
This company's customer support is non existent when it comes to disabled veterans

Hello sir, I have talked to my department about this. From what I can see, we have been going back and forth and making sure we replied. I believe Blake replied yesterday, in addition to the previous replies. Unfortunately, the PF2 doesn't work with the iPhone 6. That model is 11 years old and it cannot work with the PF2. I am happy to help by offering a refund or a credit on another system that does not utilize the phone. Please email me and let me know if this is something equitable solution. I'm sorry for your frustration and would like to make it right. My email is [email protected] Thank you.

Outdated garbage
Dogtra equipment is the worst I've ever used. I've spent several thousands of dollars on equipment and training from many different companies.
The Dogtra technology is so outdated that it's borderline useless. I wouldn't use it if it was free.
The people at Dogtra do not care and it shows. I think they used to be good, but then they completely stopped trying.
All my Dogtra equipment is completely useless and going in the trash. Unfortunately it was very expensive.
I can't say enough horrible things about Dogtra.

I am sorry to see your sentiments. May I ask what happened that made you feel this way? Have you spoken to anyone here yet? We do have state of the art equipment, that most people find excellent, so I would love to be able to speak to you about why you are dissatisfied. Feel free to email or call me at [email protected] or 888-811-9111 ext. 230 Thank you, Kari - Mgr. of Customer Services

Be ready for extra costs
Noticed that the collar was working very intermittently on my Bernese mountain dog. I tried various steps to verify fit, tightness, operation and strength . I came to realize that the contact tips they include are too small for a large dog (despite saying good for 30lbs+. Also no mention on the YS600 box nor amazons web site.
I called and was informed that this will cost me $13 for new, longer prongs. Seems crazy that they charge for this given that the collar doesn’t work for me, despite meeting the qualifications. This additional charge should be made more clear on packaging and amazon ad. Customer Service had no other alternatives, so I will be sending the unit back and will look to another vendor that is more transparent.

The contact points are not specific to size of the dog, but amount of fur. While they didn't work well for your dog, they do work well for many larger breeds, (i.e. 35lbs and up) We are sorry, for the disappointment you experienced. On our site we do mention that contact points could be an issue, see below:
Do You Have a Proper Collar & Does it Fit Properly?
Tips for proper e-collar fit:
Size of collar appropriate for your dog’s weight and neck size
You want your collar to be snug but not too tight.
The collar should stay put and not be able to easily turn around your dog’s neck.
Contact points should be reaching through the hair and making contact with your dog’s skin.
In addition, we do specify on the product page that the contact points, that come with the unit, are 5/8", which we feel is good information for the dog owner to determine if these will be long enough to reach through the dogs fur. Some decide to shave small spots in the fur where the contact points rest, rather than going to larger points. It is up to the owner.
We are sorry that this information wasn't sufficient for you, but are here if you have any questions at all. Thank you for your feedback.

We are currently on the 3rd Wetland…
We are currently on the 3rd Wetland 1900 e-collar in a matter of less than 4 years. First collar lasted almost 2 years. Second one last almost 1 year and the third collar lasted 3 1/2 months. All had the same problem. The nick feature stops working. Also the second collar would randomly raise and lower the stimulation amount on its own. Even though this is the "Wetland" collar our dog has never been in the water with it. I would think that a collar that costs $370.00 would last a lot longer than this. We went for the best thinking we were getting the best. The gentleman where we bought the e-collar indicated to us that the store brand he purchased EIGHT years ago is still functioning in great condition and cost less than half the price. Go figure!!
You have just emailed me today wanting me to give you details regarding the previous e-collar we purchased from your company. Along with the e-collar that were tossed in the garbage was the receipts that went with them. I felt there was no need to retain the sales receipt on something that I just threw out. The only receipt that I have is from the one we just currently purchased this past week along with the $99.00 warrant that will he honored for 2 years.

Hi Deanna-Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wetlands 1900S e-collar. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered and understand how frustrating this must be.
We’d love the opportunity to assist you. Our technical specialists are available to troubleshoot the issue over the phone—please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at 1-888-811-9111.
The Wetlands 1900S comes with a one-year warranty, and if your unit is still within this period, we’d be happy to provide warranty service. For units outside the warranty, we also offer a repair center where our experts can inspect and repair your collar. You can find detailed instructions on how to send in your unit here: https://dogtra.com/pages/service-repair
We truly value your feedback and appreciate the opportunity to make this right. Please reach out if there's anything else we can do to help!
Update on your most recent reply: I am curious who you purchased the new system from, as we do not charge for our warranties. With us warranty repairs are included and if it's determined it's unrepairable (and not caused by neglect or abuse of the system), we send out a new unit. If there is anything we can help you with, please let us know. Thank you. Kari - 888-811-9111

Not even 6 month into use
Not even 6 month into use, the remote would switch from 0-70 randomly and dogtra essentially wanted me to pay for a brand new collar without honoring any type of warranty.
Response from DogtraFeb 6, 2025
We would never suggest you buy a brand new collar at 6 months. We have a one or two year warranty (depending on which product you purchased). We have a team of highly qualified repair technicians. We offer free inspections of your unit. If it is under warranty, the repairs are done free of charge. If it is determined that it is something that cannot be repaired, we will replace the unit. If it is having an issue due to unusual damage that was caused by the customer, then the warranty may not apply, but that is the exception-not the rule. Please let us know if we can assist you in any way. Feel free to ask for me directly. Thank you, Kari -Manager, Customer Services-888-811-9111.

Product Failure
In the last week of October, 2024, I had the good fortune of hunting pheasants over German shorthaired pointers. The 4 dogs all had the 2702T&B collars. On the second day of the hunt, one collar failed in the field and was zapping the dog continuously. The collars had been in use only 7 days by then. The dog was in pain and very confused, so the collar was removed.
All companies have product failures at times, even with the best quality control processes. What happens next with customer service is indicative of the quality of the company. And Dogtra failed miserably.
Our hunt guide & dog owner received very little assistance from customer service and no support in troubleshooting the problem or expediting the replacement of the defective part. There was quibbling over the warranty terms. There was no sympathy for the distress caused to the dog nor understanding of the business interruption the device caused.
The customer service person failed to mention that this particular model had a product recall for what appears to be the problem we observed. The serial number of the collar is right in the middle of the group of recalled collars.
There is no reason to make the customer experience this challenging.

Hello, our Product Specialist has reached out to you to try to gather more information and help resolve this matter. I do apologize that the customer service representative you spoke to neglected to convey the concerns we have over any undue stress on your dog nor the business interruption, but I assure you we do take this seriously and want to help resolve things and make them right. Please reply to Blake, our Product Specialist so that we can rectify any challenges. We stand behind our product and want all of our customer's to be satisfied.
