cool! it's awesome

The product works very well. The only problem I have is that the antenna is prone to breaking. I always keep a couple on hand.

Dogtra must be used under the supervision of a highly skilled trainer. Otherwise, this device could be inhumane and cause undue stress to your beloved animal. If used properly, this is an excellent tool for dogs to be off the physical leash yet under safe control.

Great quality; great customer service! The Dogtra combo seems very well built and appears like it will stand up to years of abuse. I really like the functionality of the transmitter; seems well thought out and its intuitive to use. This is a VERY powerful unit! Lots of stimulation available. The receiver is small in size and lightweight which is nice for the dog. So far battery life has been great. Two months on both receiver and transmitter before a re-charge is needed. Re-charges are fast too! I would have given it 5 stars but the unit only comes with one length of probe, and I had trouble getting consistent stimulation with the supplied probes. I had Dogtra send me some longer probes and am getting much more consistent stimulation. I think for the price of this unit they could have just included several lengths of probes with the unit from the start.

Great product, customer service is lacking

Good product. We use the 2502 T&B collars and especially like the locator function. They've been through harsh use and have stood up quite well. Yeah, we like them quite well. Over the 10 years we've needed a few repairs (failed beep sounder, failed transmitter buttons) and those repairs are a bit expensive. Yet, the service is good and is quick. Also, help over the phone is easy to get and every time I've talked to someone they knew the product in detail.

Shopping for and purchasing Dogtra products was great. Easy and fast. Good pricing. My only complaint has to do with fitting the collar to my little dog- it seems that onces it's tight enough to have good contact, it's too tight for her comfort. I wish it had a bit of give in the collar so it fit her no matter what she's doing. She has a sort of long neck and narrow head, so maybe it's just her. When it works, it works great!

I own multiple dogtra collars - I have one that is probably more than 12 years old - it is a work horse and the most reliable. I like the newer ones too - the curved shape of the receiver on the 1900 is nice and the on off buttons instead of lining up the little red dots is a plus too. I took a star off because I think the lining up the little red dots is a nusiance and the faster charging Li batteries don't seem to last as long as the old NiMh battery. Overall great collars, I would recommend them, and would have only taken half a star off if that was an option becasue I do really like the collars. I own 5 of them!
