I moved to DNSimple after DNS Made Easy hiked up their prices exponentially forcing me to look elsewhere. Before that, though, I had been using Cloudflare's registry and DNS management and found it to be too slow and buggy. As a hobbyist outside of my day job as a senior systems administrator for an e-commerce company, I find the Professional plan a bit pricey ($30/month) for the purposes of URL redirection with HTTPS (for example, I could just take out a nginx VM with Digital Ocean for $5 and do it myself including automating Let's Encrypt, but that introduces yet another thing I need to manage in terms of patching, etc). Nominet domain pricing is double that of Cloudflare, so I now keep my domains at Namecheap. However, pricing aside, I very much like DNSimple's approach and would very much recommend this to clients if the opportunity arose.
