David Lombardino | DLA Editors — Editorial & ConsultingReviews of dlaeditors.com

After researching many editing companies out there, I chose DLA editors as they were the only ones I came across that were BBB accredited and helped with what I wanted to accomplish. The website is easy to use and I was able to track the progress of my statement online, and they were courteous enough to inform me if they were running behind their expected due date. They do get the work done by the due date, which is excellent. My editor was wonderful, and really had great input and ideas. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was a pleasure to work with. My statement looks, reads, and is just amazing. I would definitely use them again in the future if I needed to. Only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of pricing. As there are other companies out there that will edit statements for cheaper with multiple revisions and DLA editors is more expensive for just 1 edit, even with the discount. Overall, I had a excellent experience, would definitely recommend them to others, and would use them again if I needed to.

I had great expectations for the services provided by DLA as a friend who had used it in the past had recommended it me. After submitting my personal statement for review and paying the $210 i got back edits that were surely rushed. The editor had looked over my PS a few hours before it was due and essentially deleted lines and changed around a few of the sentences structure. She recommended a few ideas but nothing concrete. I got better reviews and edits from my friends who had looked at it. Definitely not going to invest money with this company again.

The service provides detailed recommnedations but the cost is high. Another review of revisions are only 10% less than the orginal proff read and that becomes unaffordable. So, in the end I could not afford a revision. Without paying the cost of seeing a revision you are left to use their help without specfic input on the corrects made. I therefore find the service out of affordable reach to be sure it is effective. The sugestions are good. " need details here etc." but I dont know if my changes were effective. If they would include the cost with a few revisions it would be more affordable and effective.

The editing was linguistically OK, but unsufficient from the point of the content - low competence in editing professional scientific texts.

Excellent suggestions for improvement and then great editing. Go out of the way to help

I paid flat $180 for my 1-page personal statement, then I paid flat $210 for my 2nd version (revised) personal statement. Their price is too high, but their editing quality is very good. It's possible to get the job done with other company with same quality for lower price.

I have used their service a few times already and I always found it satisfactory. Most services are very affordable, except the personal statement review service which is a little pricy, but worthy. The service is relatively fast, 48 hours in average. They seem to be very professional and experienced. They deal with grammar and style but they also help you to put your own ideas in a clearer and more effective perspective. I found it particularly useful for those of us whose native language is not English. I would recommend it to my friend, and I will keep using their service in the future.

I searched and searched for the right people to edit my manuscript. I went to their Facebook page and it made me feel very comfortable choosing DLA as an editor on my project,
