The edit suggestions were amateurish. I would never hire the 'supposed' fiction editor.

Just telling “Could you provide explanation in detail about this?” “Why you think this experience meaningful?” Editage comments were just criticizing, not constructive.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MOST IMPORTANTLY MONEY! Hire a professional developer who will respect you, your work, and your time. Shame on your company for trying to rub people during the pandemic (though according to some comments you've been doing it for quite some time). I ordered the top service for synopsis once before, and the feedback was fine (because there was no way for this company to upsell me- I paid the top dollar already). But the second time, I got a cheaper version for a query letter with speedy delivery. I paid around $70 for a few comments on how I should remove 'BUT' or some other useless edits with commas that any amateur editors would have done for $10. But that's not what got me mad the most. There were soooo many comments with just a question mark in them to BAIT me to pay MORE to get the top service. So you can imagine not only I was upset about getting zero CLARITY and FLOW edits. Because apparently there're no comments in that service. THAN WHAT DOES IT MEAN YOU'LL HELP ME EDIT MY CLARITY AND FLOW??? BY TELLING ME DON'T USE 'HAD' AND USE 'HAVE'???!! OR REMOVING A COMMA??!! When you say you will provide edits for clarity and flow you then need to add there will be no comments, just paragraph spacing rearranging or whatever else mini edits you come up with. So I still have no idea what was going on with my clarity and flow. But of course, if I'd pay some money on top- there will be comments and whatever else my heart desires. I contacted the customer service and nicely explained that I got zero of what I actually needed from this service (which again my main concern about clarity and flow of the synopsis), and asked for a partial refund because I understand they spent their time on my project (even if it was 5 minutes of their time). They, of course, refused. And apologized for the confusion- yes the person I spoke to agreed that the description of their services was confusing, but also I could have assumed there will be no comments. (Right?! Silly me. How difficult it is to guess the details of the services provided if it's not clearly stated??) I really never in my life left a negative review or was mad enough to do so for any business, but I also rarely come across such a company that's not willing to work things out with their customers at all. They will only put their 100% if you pay the top dollar and then probably will try to squeeze another cent on top of it.

The document was full uncorrected typos. Also, the editor kept suggesting to change verb tense, then again suggesting writing in active voice. Honestly, if I know all this why would be using and editor? Here are some of the comments in the document: "Earlier you discussed your work in present tense. It all needs to match throughout the document. I recommend going back to the earlier discussion and changing those verbs to past tense. " "If you change the other verb tenses back to present, change this also. " "Do your best to write in active voice. Sometimes we cannot avoid passive voice, or it’s needed, but active is usually stronger. "

Please do not use this editing service. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company in my life. If you make any negative comment about them online, they will harass you through phone calls until you change your review. They spend more time reading reviews online than they do editing your paper. Most of the reviews on here that are 4-5 stars have been edited by this company. He only cares about making money. He went insofar as to post my whole personal statement online! So unprofessional! The recommendations they give you are vague and generalized. You could get more information about editing your paper online with a simple Google search. If you want a good editing service that will maintain confidentiality and will provide a proper editing service, look somewhere else please. This place is a scam. EDIT: DLA contacted Trustpilot to have my review changed. They try so hard to make their reviews appear better than they are!

The worst experience I ever had. unfortunately I can not lie the experience was awful. DLA beside being expensive for average service quality (i.e you can find a similar service or even better done by professional writers with Ph degrees at lower prices by visiting fiverr.com) they need to be clear with the customers, they need to be flexible and discuss with customers about solutions when things don't work out or misunderstood. They need to take responsibility and say sorry when they failed to transparent. They added adtional charges for reading an additional documents I provided in the email while working on my prject without keeping me updated about that additional charge will be applied, at the end they refused to deliver the project unless I pay the remaining. I paid then I realized the document was not read by the writer because the writers asked about information that is found in the document. I reached to a point to just ask them to cancel and refund me just 50% so I can stop the communication with them because I don't trust them anymore. They were a pain in the *** basically. Believe me you find a way better options in fiverr don't let them persuade with their ads.

Like their work or not, no refund will be issued by any means. So use their service at your own risk.
